Midday, the sky was a briliant blue with the few dots of white from the puffy clouds. A flock of bird pokemon sillohuetted themselves agaisnt the sun, and a few Krabby skuttled their way back into the waters of the sea. Along the golden shore line, the sparkling blue waters of the sea moved back and forth in their rythmatic dance on the sand, leaving an outline of a dark, wet shadow as the gentle waves pulled back out to sea.
As another rolled onto the sand, a pair of pale feet strolled through the sowly current, leaving behind footprints that would be washed away by the waters the next second. Pale shins lead up from the feet, and from the knees up the figure was covered in rolled up dark blue denim shorts, a belt hung at an angle at the figures hips. Her torso was covered then by a short sleeved simply blue shirt, with the pokeball design across the chest. Fire red hair was tied back into a pony tail, save for two strands in the front that spiraled down to the sides of her hips.
Dark chcolate eyes gazed out to sea, as an Eevee poked it's head from around her hair and leaned on her shoulder. In the creatures fur by her ear, a flower pin was clipped into her 'hair'.
Jade had just returned from the lab, after having at last been able to begin her journey. When presented with the starter options, she'd set eyes on this little girl, and was immediately heart set on her. The Eevee was now known as Carmen, after one favorite opera of her trainer.
As she walked JAde softly stroked the white fur around Carmens neck with a smile.
"This is it Carmen, I hope I'll be a good trainer to you. Just know I'll try my best."

(Hello Carmen. I'll be your mod for this fine session :3)
The pokemon, wingull could be seen in the air above, and on the sands. Some sing a seeming sad song, sitting perched on the rocks, like a Nereid singing its' song to the ocean. Nor far off the horizon is the main land of Honiso, and all the way across, one could see many flocks of the bird pokemon, making their living off the ocean, catching their daily meal. On the shore one might see a family of bidoof, sharing a meal of some kind.

The wind blows gently on the only human soul on the beach. Just as she acquainted herself with her own pokemon, a new one appears. A feathery, yellowish head peaked out of the ocean, and waddled onto shore- a psyduck. slowly, it made its way to the novice trainer, and looking at her, tilted its head, grunting it's own name. Though pokemon generally all look alike, this one had the aura of a male. It's overall appearance though was very humble, not too skinny, though at the same time not too chubby as far as psyduck go. Three strands of hair extrude from its head, and it's bill not much longer than the head itself.

(..Carmen is the Eevee, the trainer is named Jade)
As Jade kept walking, her lower legs suddenly bumped into a wall of feathers and a big beak. As she heard the pokemon speak, she looked down to see the Psyduck. Carmen lifted herself up on Jade's shoulder to get a better look.
"Oh hello there. Where di you come from?"
Jade asked as she bent down on the haunches of her legs to the Psyduck's level. Carmen leapt from Jade's shoulder and sat beside the Psyduck.
"This Psyduck's kinda cute."
Jade said as she softly ruffled the feathers on Psyduck's head. The Eevee walked around the Psyduck, eyeing him up and down. It seemed she was pleased, for as she sat in front of the Psyduck she tilted her head and smiled softly before speaking in her own voice, slightly more feminie then most Eevees who were male.

The girl asked the psyduck for its origins, later quietly making a rather nice complement. Of course, it couldn't respond-not intelligibly at least. To the average person, all it did was tilt its head in the other direction, grunting the last syllable of its name, to later move its head back to say the first syllable, then moving its head forward. As its head moved, so did its arms, as though telling a story, later stopping as the girl lowered herself down. As she did, the yellow pokemon watched with bug eyes, as she patted his head, ruining his feathers. Despite this, it looked unfazed, and zoned out somewhat lost in thought, later to return, shaking its head, and letting a few feathers fall.

The psyduck looked to the ground at its own feathers, wondering for a second, then looking back at the trainer. It then looked up at the eevee, directly in the eyes, with somewhat of a thousand yard stare. The psyduck then jumped up three times, and continued on with its "story". After a while of seemingly random arm and head movements, the psyduck stops and tugs onto Jade's shirt, pointing towards a certain direction where a few rocks lay further up the beach, though not quite at the boardwalk yet. Near the pile of rocks, are a few twigs, and plant material piled up to make some kind of nest. On it, was what appeared to be another psyduck, sitting on it looking rather proud of itself.

As Jade watched the Psyduck tilt it head and wave its arms, she wondered what on earth it could be saying. It was times like these she wished she could be a pokemon meidum, or have a pokemon with telepathy something like that. Carmen sat beside Jade's feet and simply watched as the Psyduck explained it's story.
Then JAde followed it's pointed arm toward another Psyduck, sitting on the rocks a few yards off. It sat on what looked like a nest of weeds nestled into the rocks, and it looked quiet proud of itself.
That when JAde gasped and looked to the Psyduck.
"Did that other Psyduck take your nest from you?'

The psyduck stumbled about, following Jade back to his nest where the other psyduck sat. When she asked him whether or not the other psyduck took his nest, he nodded his head with a small bounce, exclaiming the first syllable of his name. As he did, the other beach bully psyduck walked up to him, pushing him away then putting his arms up in a threatening manner. The weaker psyduck walks waddles behind Jade, and cowers behind her legs. The bully psyduck laughs, using his water sport to shoo Jade and her pokemon away as well as taunt the other psyduck. Just as it did, your psyduck swaggers over, using its own water gun attack, sending the beach bully psyduck away. Enraged, it uses its own water gun, knocking the weaker psyduck an even farther distance.

The beach bully psyduck laughs, taunting the other weaker psyduck, who looks as though he is in a sad daze, staring at the ground with his cross-eyed face. It sits down on the sand, appearing to say, "I just don't know what went wrong." Of course, it is only a pokemon, so what he is actually saying is a bit of a mystery.

Jade glared at the other Psyduck, and jumped as it used Water Sport in an attempt to get rid of them. Then as it retaliated against the other Psyduck, she rushed over and kneeled beside the weaker Psyduck. Carmen jumped in front of the bully Psyduck, and hissed at it barring her teeth. Jade stood as she held the Psyduck under it's arms to keep it safe from the ensuing battle.
"You're just a big bully! Carmen teach this punk a lesson!"
Carmen leapt over the Psydcuk with a growl, and Jade glared, preparing for battle.
"Use Tail Whip to lower its defense!!"
Carmen switch herself forward and smacked the bully Psyduck in the face with her tail, landing behind it and skidding to a stop in the sand about five feet away.
"Now use Tackle!!"
With a burst of speed, Carmen barreled toward Psyduck head first.

(Hit the road, Jack, and don't you come back no more no more no more no more...)
The sand was wet from the previous water gun, and water sport attacks. The beach bully psyduck avoided Carmen, somersaulting above and landing in back of her, its webbed feet now sunken into the wet sand. Laughing, he then lifted his right arm, and hammered it down, using a scratch attack, lunging forward a little bit. Should Jade command her eevee to dodge, she would also be caught in the sand if using the same maneuver as the psyduck. On her left or right, the sand was practically dry, with a few droplets which had landed here and there.

While the action was going on, the weaker psyduck still cowered behind Jade, covering his eyes with his hands, too small to actually shield his eyes from the sight of the battle. His eyes were neither closed, nor did they blink.

Carmen stopped and turned to fac the Psyduck, seeing the oncoming Scratch. Jade had to think fast.
"Carmen quick jump!!"
Carmen jumped up just to barely graze the Psyduck's wrist as its arm came barreling down toward the ground. Jade then called the next attack.
"Now use Tackle again!"
Camren bent over and shot herself toward the bully Psyduck's head. With this vantage point the Psyduck would have a ahrder time getting away.

The psyduck cowering behind Jade's legs watched as her eevee quickly dodged the foe psyduck's attack. It could dodge, but this psyduck was a bit bold in its fighting style. Rather than moving away this time, or blocking, it turned around and raised both its arms, preparing for a scratch attack to counter the eevee's tackle attack. Just as it did, the other psyduck used its water gun attack, spraying the beach bully psyduck out of the way. It was enraged. The psyduck, again afraid, began ducking down.

Jade watched the bully Psyduck get knocked back by the Psyduck hiding behind her, and as the bully became distracted and enraged, she took her chance.
"Carmen use Tackle!"
The Eevee skidded to a stop behind the bully Psyduck and shot her small body forward to smash into its back. Jade reached down and softly brushed the feathers on the Psyduck's head as it hid behind her.
"Don't be scared, we've got this covered. Everything will be ok I promise!"

Carmen successfully hit the bully Psyduck and made him get thrown across about 3 meters. Psyduck got up again, and angrily looked at Carmen. However, just as Psyduck was about to attack Carmen, the other Psyduck lunged forward Psyduck and used Scratch, scratching the bully Psyduck very fiercely. The bully Psyduck was thrown forward back, and lied on the ground, but got up rather quickly and stared ominously at Psyduck and Carmen.

Jade gasped as she felt a rush of soft feathers brush up against her leg, and was even more amazed as she watched the other Psyduck attaking the bully. Carmen lept to stand beside the Psyduck and stared down the bully, a smirk crossed over Jade's lips.
"Alright! Carmen use Tail Whip to lower the bully's defenses!"
Carmen leapt into a run, and she turned mid air to bring her tail around in order to smack the bully Psyduck, lowering his defenses. Now, it was two against one.
"Psyduck I know you can do this! We've got your back! Use Scratch!"

The bully Psyduck was hit by Eeevee's tail and thus his defenses were lowered. The other Psyduck, was intimidated by the other Psyduck but nevertheless charged at the bully Psyduck and effectively and critically used Scratch again, and the other Psyduck was too slow to respond when the timeca me, and thebu lly Psyduck was propelled towards a nearby tree,and hit it. Psyduck fainted. The other Psyduck neared Jade and seemingly said something to her in Pokemon Language "Psy Psy", most likely thanking her.

Eevee levels up and becomes 6.

Carmen leapt from side to side, crying in glee as the bully went down. Jade leapt in the air, laughing with a huge smile across her face.
"We did it!!"
As the Psyduck came over, JAde smiled and croched down to it's level. Her pale finger ruffled the feather on its head, a smile on her lips.
"You're welcome."
Carmen tottered over to her trainer side, and leapt on Jade's outstreched hand. As she stood, Carmen leapt onto her trainers shoulder, where Jade adjusted the flower pin in her partners fur.

Psyduck followed Jade and hugged her, not letting her out of her grip. Psyduck grunted a bit, then seemingly Psyduck squeaked. Psyduck "Psy Psy, Psyduck!". Psyduck wanted to go with Jade, as he had nothing to do in Amethius Island. Psyduck hugged Jade, and refused to let her go.

As Jade turned she suddenly felt her legs being held by an iron grip. She turned the upper half of her body around, and over her shoulder she saw Psyduck clinging to her. Carmen leapt from Jade's shoulder and sat beside Psyduck.
"Oh I think I get it, you want to come with us don't you little guy?"
Jade said as she reached down and ran her fingers through Psyducks feathers. Then she stood and smirked.
"Alright then! Shall we do this the proper way and battle? Or should I just bring out a pokeball right here right now?"

Psyduck fiercely nodded his head, when Jade asked if he wanted to join her. Psyduck instead looked up at Jade with shimmering eyes, and shook his head when Jade said to do it the proper way of battling. Psyduck released his grip and stepped back a bit, awaiting for the pokeball.

"Alrighty then!"
Jade said excitedly as she dug around in her messanger bag for a pokeball. Finally gripping the smoothing surface, she crouched in front of Psyduck and smiled.
"But before anything, you need a good name, something that will really speak to your personality..."
Pressing the knuckles of the hand the held the pokeball to her lips for a moment, she smiled triumphantly as it came to her.
"I've got it! From now on, you're name will be..."
The trailed off, tapping the pokeball to Psyduck's head softly as she proclaimed to the stars that her new Psyducks name was:
"Quincy!!"

The Pokeball shook once, twice, and finally three times. Psyduck was successfully caught!

As the pokeball clicked shut Jade leapt to her feet and half laughed half squealed in delight. Carmen leapt back and forth on the sand, obviously as excited as her trainer was.
"Our first new team mate Carmen!! Come on out Quincy!"
She called, and tossed the pokeball into the air. In a flurry of white light, her new Psyduck stood and cocked his head to the side.
"Duck?"
jade smiled and picked up her new team mate, hugging him and nuzzling his feathers with her cheek.
"We're so happy to have you Quincy! I know you'll go far I just know it!"
Quincy at first was a bit confused, then he shouted happily and nuzzled his trainers cheek in return.

A sailor marches past Jade and then grabbed a mega-phone, and announced " Ferry to Isido Town is now accepting passengers, please get onto the ferry if you wih to go leave Amethius Island and go to Isido Town!".

Jade turned as she heard the sailor annouce that they were now boarding a ferry to Isido town. What luck! A new place to explore and train! Setting Quincy down she raied both of their pokeballs.
"Carmen, Quincy return!"
Touched by a thin red beam, they both vanished back into the pokeballs and were then situated onto Carmen's belt. With a smile she began running for the docks, and with a hop up onto the wooden port, she rushed up the ramp and onto the ferry. Resting her elbows against the railing, she waited for her adventure to take yet another exciting turn.
