Ferox Spoink & Grumpig

(Spoink:) Spoink has always led a fragile existence; it's forced to endlessly bounce on its spring like tail, due to the fact that if it stops bouncing, it'll go into cardiac arrest, and most likely die. The pearl on it's head too, serves to amplify the creature's psychic powers, and if the pearl is lost, Spoink is drastically weakened. Ferox Spoink, dubbed "Project Remove Restraint" is an adaptation to it's counterpart; although it's life still relies on it's bouncing, the pearl on it's head is no longer in danger of being lost.

Team Delta has further increased Ferox Spoink's psychic prowess, decreasing the creature's physical strength, and overall defense, but pushing it's special attack to the limit. However, as a result of it's excessively powerful psychic ability, the pearl, which has always served as both an amplifier and a funnel in a sense- cracks over time. Trainers who have the opportunity to use Ferox Spoink; Project Remove Restraint- are advised not to rely entirely on the pokèmon's special attack power. Excessive use of psychic attacks will eventually cause the pearl atop it's head to shatter, weakening the pokèmon's psychic power drastically, and permanently. (The move POWER GEM is only to be used as a last resort, as it means automatic shattering after one use.)

Ferox Spoink is currently unobtainable. (I'm only putting this here in case it is at some point in the future.)

Appearance

Ferox Spoink's skin has lost it's colour due to mainly malnutrition, although part of it is because of the abundance of psychic energy rippling through it's body and effecting it's vital organs. It's tail is more stiff than it's counterparts, and although it's not as flexible, it's capable of pushing the pokèmon to further heights. The pearl atop it's head is more of a crimson on most occasions, although when it begins to crack, it slowly loses it's intensity.


Abilities:

• Magic Bounce: Reflects most non-damaging moves back at their user.
  
  
• Magic Guard: The Pokémon only takes damage from attacks.

Ferox Spoink evolves into a Ferox Grumpig with a cracked pearl, no matter whether or not the Spoink had a cracked pearl to begin with.

That's good that you said it's currently unobtainable, but scientist in Team Delta will find a way to obtain it in the future, I'm sure of it XD

Still, you should change a few moves in that learnset with shadow moves.
Check the Shadow Moves List to pick them.
Try to choose moves a Psychic/Shadow may reasonably learn, like Shadow Wave.

Other than that, good work.

I really like the grumpig, but I have one incy, wincy concern about the Spoink sprite. We did actually work from a dark grey color, and I know it's hard to do that, because the original Spoink sprite is a dark grey, but could you sorta stray away from the bright white and make it a lil' darker?

I know I moan all the time.
But apart from that, they are brilliant.

I agree with Ice, the spoink needs to be a little darker. I like the idea of the broken pearl, and the Grumpig is awesome.

EDIT: the second spoink, the one slightly grey with the broken pearl is already better in coloring, try to use that shade on the one with the pearl intact too,
