PostSubject: Losing the battle   Losing the battle EmptyWed Jul 27, 2011 4:35 pm

Without much to do in Mortayo town, Dennis decided that he would travel back to Isido, just to check what's new. His dratini was draped over his shoulder, and his baltoy was put safely in its ball. It was still morning. Dennis and his pokemon had just eaten breakfast. A week from the start of their journey, and they're pretty well off.
The day before, Dennis had a rough battle with a trainer who went by the name of Maximillion, and ended up losing. With both his cousin, and this man, he now had twice the motivation.
Dennis fed his dratini and baltoy each a rare candy (I bought 4, Dratini = Lv 8 now Baltoy = Lv 7 now). Candy isn't healthy for people, but it does help pokemon get stronger, which was fine by him. He saved two in a small pocket on his satchel, one for himself, another for his travel companion, Eric, who he assumed he wouldn't see for a while. The trainer and his pokemon smiled, and looked at each other down the road; they made it to their destination.
He quickly made it to the meadows. It seemed like a nice quiant place for him to train. "Go, Top!" The trainer sent out his baltoy. He had an idea. Why not battle the two with each other? He checked his pokedex for what moves his baltoy could learn: Confusion, Harden, and Rapid Spin. These seemed like interesting moves. "Alright you two, I want you to try and fight each other" the two pokemon had a confused look on their faces "whoever loses doesn't get lunch for the day." This seemed like proper motivation.
Dratini used thunder wave, which just bounced off baltoy. "No, baltoy is a ground type pokemon, electric type moves don't work on it!" The trainer cried out. Dratini looked dazed, staring at it's trainer. Meanwhile, baltoy had quickly prepared a rapid spin attack. After seeing the attack hit, it rejoiced, and did what seemed to be a dance.
This went on for a few hours, until they both tired out. As it seems, baltoy had lost. So, Dennis gave food to dratini and not baltoy, which sat idly in its ball.

As the battle ended a wild tangela who seemed very playful came up to the trainer started playing tricks on him. The tangela tapped the trainer on one shoulder while on the other side it stole the ball which held baltoy. It started swinging from tree to tree hoping the trainer would chase it.

Dennis looked up at the tangela, and didn't spare a breath. "Ivan, use thunder wave!" the dratini, still hanging from Dennis's arm, launches the attack from the orb on its neck.

As the Tangela saw the thunderwave going at it tangela knew the trainer didnt want to play but at least he could have some fun. As the electric attack was about to hit it tangela spread its vines apart to dodge the attack. After that the tangela grabbed the dratini and used constrict.

Tangela was now wrapped tightly around dratini, and its trainer. "Ivan, use your own wrap attack!"the trainer commanded. He also began to punch the tangela a bit, and eventually grasped a pokeball with his alternate hand, and touched it against the tangela.

As the Tangela went into the pokeball Baltoys pokeball that it was holding fell to the ground. Dratini fellto the ground as the trainer Dennis waited for the pokeball to stop moving. All of the sudden Tangela popped out of the pokeball with a look in it's eyes that it wasn't going to give up so easily. It still had a lot of strength in it to battle. It also wanted to have a little fun while it was at it. Tangela than began taunting the dratini by swinging around it tree to tree.

"Ivan, thunder wave! Now! Top, go!" Dennis sent out his baltoy. He wasn't going to give up so easily, nor was he going to play fair. A wave of electricity pulsed from dratini's orb, going straight at tangela.

The tangela was to slow to dodge the attack at the moment. The wave hit him but luckily since the tangela was grass type electric type moves don't do much damage to him. Tangela than used sleep powder on baltoy and dratini.

Dratini used one last thunder wave before falling fast asleep. Baltoy, on the other hand, was a bit tougher. "Top, use Rapid spin!" Dennis commanded, with an eager tone. He placed dratini back in its pokeball, and continued watching the fight. "After you're done with that, use confusion!"

Tangela saw that the sleep powder didn't work on baltoy. As baltoy used confusion tangela started flying up and his energy was draining from him. As he fell to the ground it seemed he was unconscious. Dennis could either capture the tangela that stole his pokeball or he could go on his way.

Dennis felt like he should finish it off. After all rule #2: Double tap. "Top, rapid spin one more time" the baltoy quickly attacked his opponent, before finally being sent back to its ball. Dennis looked at the fainted tangela, and left back to the city, picking up the pokeball he used.

(K, so baltoy levels up. YAY!)

As you return to the city you notice this girl standing nonchalant by herself. She stares at you for a brief moment as she holds up these oddly colored rocks. It was then when she threw regular stone at you and began to walk away. Surprisingly no one actually saw the girl throw the stone, but what would you do about this, I mean obviously those three oddly colored stones meant something and had a purpose or else she wouldn't be holding them like they were treasure, plus she threw a rock at you, I mean what can you do?

Dennis releases his dratini, and they both take a closer look. Dennis is slightly confused, though his dratini has an idea. He takes his pokedex from his satchel, and consults it.
