Cassian had been inside his room, waiting for his cue. The announcer would call his name to signal that his match would begin. He had just strapped on his belt, insuring that all six Pokeballs were safely attached. That's when his name was called over the intercom. "And now, for the match you've all been waiting for...introducing the first contestant, Cassian James!" It would echo as the muffled, crackly effect of the intercom took place. A roar erupted from the crowd, and Cassian knew this was it. He took a deep breath; inhale before exhale. Slowly, he made his way through the tunnel and onto the humongous battle field. It was just like he had always imagined it. The dirt was a light brown color, and other than a few patches of dead grass, it was blank. There was a very large white box with a drawn Pokeball in the middle, and two boxes for the trainers on either side. He stood in the closest box to him, and put his hands in his pockets. His opponent would come up next, so he took the time to make some calculations. The distance, the terrain, everything. He took in all possibilities, and forced himself to not let the crowd excite him. He needed to keep it cool.

Love felt abit nervous, she knew her name would be announced shortly after Cassians did. The announcer motined the crowd to settle down for he would call upon the next challenger. "As for the second contestant I introduce Love Montgomery!" the announcer said loudly. The crowd once again erupted with hunger to see a battle take place. Love rested her hand on the pokeballs around her waist, Alright guys this is it, we can do this she said taking in deep breath. With confidence she made her way to the box that was closest to her. She got a glimpse of her opponent who stood a good distances away from her. Love's fist tightened I can do this , she gripped one of her pokeballs and looked at the announcer wondering when he would begin the fight.

Cassian looked nonchalantly at his opponent, Love Montgomery. She was a pretty woman, but from that distance, he couldn't make out too much detail. His eyes slanted, turning into narrow slits as he put his game face on. He didn't take his eyes of her, but his hand slowly moved down to his waist. He gripped the small red and white Pokeball and clicked the button, resizing it to it's normal form. The referee would wave his red and blue flags violently and shout "Begin!" to signal that it was time to get this show on the road. In one, flawless, swaying heap, Cassian threw his left leg into the air to add more power, and on the way down, swung his arm, releasing the Pokeball at great velocity. It would stop a quarter of the way to Love, and would open suddenly, a flowing white light streaming down to show his first choice. "Garbodor, let's take out the trash!" cassian would shout as the ball flew through the air gracefully. The poison pokemon would let out a call as it prepared for a hellacious fight. "Garrrrrrrrb".

Love snickered at his battle cry Let's take out the trash? Seriously?. She admired that he stood confident with his pokemon, her hand ran over the top of her pokeballs. Who to choose agaist this massive smelly beast? , she debated. She wanted to keep a good distance from the Garbador so she had decided who she wanted to call out. "Alright Charizard! Your up! Take flight!" she gribbed his pokeball and threw it in the arena. "Rawwwrr!" the Shiny Charizard roared loudly extending his massive wings glaring at his foe. He then started flapping his wings to hover above the ground. "Let them go first" Love smirked waiting to see what he would do. Charizard beared his teeth eager to battle.

Cassian kept a straight face, even though he was impressed with the shiny Charizard that had made it's way onto the battlefield. He had seen many Charizard in his time, but never a shiny one. Cassian grimaced at the thought. 'Just wait until she sees my shiny.' He thought to himself. He stayed completely still as Love said that the first move was his. "Alright, Garbodor, show'em what your made of. Walk slowly towards the Charizard, then use Sludge Bomb!" Cassian had a strategy planned out. It was dirty, but most likely efficient. "BUT! Do not aim at the Charizard. Let Love taste your sludge." Cassian smiled, knowing what would happen. The Pokemon began walking, going about five paces before getting a confused look. It would shuffle so that it waas at an angle and not right in front of the charizard. It opened it's mouth, and shot a large bubble of poisonous, thick, sludge at Love.

Loves eyes grew wide as the thick sludge headed her way, her reflexes instantly made her throw up her arms for protection. Charizard quickly knew what to do, he had to protect his trainer. With great speed he dashed toward Love knocking her out of the way with his head. Unfortunely Charizard was not quick enough to completely avoid the attack himself. His stomach had been hit directly with the attack.Charizard stumbled back abit from the impact but kept his eyes focused on Garbodor. Love landed harshly on the ground after the hit of Charizard. She coughed abit then glared at Cassian "Way to play nasty, you'll pay for that!" she said angrily.

Love looked over at Charizard "Are you alright boy?" she looked at the sludge that incased his stomach. He nodded wincing abit by the hardened sludge, this would make flying abit more difficult then it usually would be. "Good then take off to the skies! And show him what you got, Fire Blast!" she commanded. He extended his wings and took off quickly towards the ceiling, he made his way towards Garbodor opening his jaws releasing a powerful Fire Blast down on his foe.

Cassian sneered as his plan worked. He knew Charizard would come in and take the hit, and deal a bit of damage. He gazed as Charizard flew high into the air, going up to the roof, and then toppling down quickly, headfirst and headstrong. He noted that Love commanded a Fireblast, and had already plotted a new strategy. With the sludge still hardening, Charizard should be getting a bit slower, which gave Cassian an idea of how to extinguish this stick-man shaped fire attack. Half-grinning, Cassian shouted "Again, Sludge Bomb!" Another large, thick, purple bubble would rush out of it's mouth and head towards the Shiny Charizard. "and then, Gunk Shot!" This would take place while charizard was ten feet ahead, and depending on how the sludge bomb would work, he might get a two in one. Cassian was already planning how to finish this.

The intense heat of the Fire Blast made its way towards the Garbodor. As his foe used yet again another Sludge bomb it impacted with Charizards attack causing a huge explosion. The smoke caused by the two attacks impacting had made him unable to see the Gunk Shot attack. He took a direct hit! Charizard started to crash land to the ground but before he impacted the ground he opened his wings allowing him to soar again. He sighed relieved that he didn't hit the ground.

Love also took a sigh of relief "Charizard buddy you can do this! Don't let that pile of trash take you out!" she thought for a second. "Charizard let's blind him, use Fire Blast!" she pointed towards the light. He nodded understanding what to do, he took flight once again, the sludge on his stomach started to fall off slowly over time increasing his speed. He headed towards the stadiums lights hoping Garbodor would look up at Charizard and get blinded by the lights. Charizard with the cover of the bright lights used a Fire Blast towards Garbodor once again.

Cassian grinned evilly as another one of his strategies worked. There was a poison on fire collision, causing a little explosion. As the dust cleared, Cassian watched the black Charizard fly up. He had heard what Love was planning, and was gonna let her have this, as he already cooked up another plan. He knew his Pokemon would be listening for a command, but he would not receive one right off the bat. Cassian just waited for Garbodor to follow it's instincts. As the large pile of trash looked up at the Charizard, is groaned as it became blinded. Another fireblast was hurled down.

Cassian had already prepared for this. "Watch it with your ears, Garbodor!" He shouted, then added "Sidestep...NOW!" The large poison Pokemon would leap to the side, trying to dodge, but with his low speed and blindness, he got hammered by the legs of the first stick finger. Cassian cursed to himself. "Re-coop, Garbodor, just do what I say, when I say! Brace yourself!" Cassian had not made a move...yet. Garbodor was sent rolling, but managed to stand. It tried massaging it's eyes first, and then where he had been licked by the flames.

Charizard smirked happy that his attack had hit. He remained in the air peering down at his foe. Love was listening to Cassian He's up to no good... , she said tightening her fist. She looked up at Charizard who was gracefully flying in the air, he was waiting for a command to be given. "Charizard on the ground" she commanded, she had an idea. He tilted his head confused but obeyed. Charizard made his way gracefully to the ground facing Garbodor. He looked over his shoulder at Love waiting for what she had planned.

"Look hes up to no good, but I want you to create some cover for yourself when you attack" she nodded to the ground. Charizard nodded understanding, he flapped his powerful wings picking for dirt and debri hurling it all over the place to create somewhat of a sandstorm. "Heat Wave buddy, let's go" she said quielty behind him. He nodded looking for a clear opening through the debri, he then fired a Heat Wave attack towards Garbodor.

Garbodor was still rubbing her eyes when Cassian noticed that Charizard was landing. "Garbodor, run forward in a straight line!" Still blinded, Garbodor would have to follow instructions. It began running blindly at full speed at the Charizard that had just landed. It was in Love's box, and Garbodor was already about ten feet away when she commanded Charizard to cover itself and use heat wave. A dust storm kicked up as it flapped it's wings, but Cassian just kept his pokerface. As Charizard opened it's mouth to begin, Cassian made his next move. As the huge wave of heat spiraled at Gorbodor, Cassian shouted with barely enough time to spare "Dive standing up to your right, and then jump up as high as you can and use explosion!" Garbodor had barely dodged, and was only a few feet away from Love's box. It would jump up at the angle Cassian told, and would explode, dealing damage to Charizard, Love, and herself, Garbodor.

Charizards eyes grew wide as he saw the pokemon was about to explode. He charged towards Love wrapping her with his wings making sure she was completely safe. He had taken a direct hit from the Explosion. A giant cloud of smoke covered the arena, the crowd went silent waiting for the smoke to vanish. What seemed like forever the smoke had finally cleared and revealed what had happened.

Charizard unfolded his wings revealing Love. He smiled down at her blood rushing down the sides of his jaw. His knees were shaky, his body was coated in dirt and blood. Charizard slowly turned towards Cassian and roared angrily. He then collasped to the ground unable to continue battling. "Oh no Charizard...." ,she ran to him lifting up his massive head stroking it. "Thank you so much for protecting me" she glared at Cassian "He does nothing but play dirty..I don't know why he gets me involved in this." she sighed wiping some of Charizards blood off. "You rest now, you did and out standing job, Return" , a red beam shot towards Charizard sealing him back into his ball.

She then plucked a ball off her belt "Your turn Swampert!" she said proudly tossing her ball in the arena. "Swaammm" she called landing heaveily onto the battle field.

Cassian put his hands back in his pockets as the following events happened so quickly. His plan worked, as Charizard protected Love but took the full blown attack harshly. He smiled at his efforts before picking up the empty Pokeball, and yelling "Return!" A red beam of energy would envelop his faint Pokemon and safely return it to it's 'home'. He sneered as Charizard returned and Love shouted at him. A Swampert would now take it's place. Cassian thought about which Pokemon to use. He didn't really have anything super effective against Swampert, so he grabbed his least favorite Pokemon in his party.

"Togekiss, give'em hell!" He shouted, once moer following the same movements he had to summon Garbodor. The white light would release Togekiss, who would levitate a meter above ground. "This time, it's their first move. Be patient, Togekiss." Togekiss nodded. "Tooooooooge."

Love studied the foes pokemon, he had chosen a Togekiss. "Alright let's start this off with a Ice Beam attack!" she instructed. Swampert braced herself deeply to the ground, she opened her large mouth hurling a icy beam towards Togekiss.

Cassian shrugged as an Ice Beam came hurling at Togekiss. He simply muttered "Dodge using extreme speed, and keep going to nail that Swampert with your wing." That would be enough already, basic yet effective. Quick movements lead to a quick finish, and that is what Cassian wanted the most...a very quick finish. He wanted to be crowned the winner already. But this made him think, good thing he hadn't sent out his Dragon types...
