Dennis woke up in a tent that he pitched the evening before. It is the morning after his harsh training. The sun blared at his face through the nylon screen 'window'. Ivan let itself out of its pokeball. "How are you doing that?" The dratini moved aside, and let Dennis undo and pack their things. They were then accompanied by the sounds of a growl. It wasn't a wild pokemon, rather themselves. They haven't eaten in two days. Of course, Dennis ran short on money. $400. That's all he had in his pocket. Perhaps he would find something. He wouldn't look in the garbage, he wasn't homeless, he's just far from home. Their stomachs growled again. The dratini wavered in the air tiredly, with its tail held where a stomach would be on a human.

As the trainer walks, several flying type pokemon fly above him. The pokemon are looking like normal birds. They have grey feathers and look like pidgeons. They were a few Pidoves. As they are flying, though, one of them starts flying towards Dennis. The pokemon did not seem to be calm nor angry. It just wanted to check the trainer out. What would the trainer do? Would he battle or would he let the bird go? It was up to him to decide what he would do, at all...

The trainer sighed. Not much my style, he thought but if I can catch one, if not battle one and win, gaining some experience... "Ivan, I know you're hungry, but could you perhaps go for another battle?" the dratini refused, floating, still holding onto its stomach. The trainer sighed again. "Go, top!" a baltoy came out of its ball, with a menagerie of white light. "Confusion!" its eyes glowed, the plan is to grab three of the pidove using the attack, and hitting them against each other. Although it was a baby, it already would show signs of stregnth.

[only one of the Pidoves came not all of them. I will treat it like the Confusion aimed to strike Pidove on the ground]

"Pidove!" the flying type pokemon said as it flew towards the left and dodged the ground and psychic type pokemon's attack, sensing that it would suffer much damage if it did not. Then, as soon as it dodged, it looked towards it with a smile on its face and started movings its wings back and forward in a rapid way. A few seconds later, a Gust attack was created that moved towards the pokemon. Pidove attempted to damage Baltoy. Would it succeed?

The baltoy used harden attack, without its trainer's command, easily protecting itself from the attack. The trainer looked dazed. "Confusion, again!" being the only attack that he had in his hand, only it could be exploited. The attack this time would only grab the wing, against itself, perhaps ripping it apart.

Although the attack did not rip apart Pidove's wing, the little bird was still hit from the Confusion and got damaged. The attack was successful. However, Pidove had several tricks on its mind in order to emerge victorious from its battle against Baltoy. While keeping the smile on its face it said "Pidove!" while launching another Gust attack to the pokemon. What could the flying type pokemon possibly be planning? Dennis and his pokemon would eventually find out...

"Confusion, again!" the baltoy deflected the bird pokemon's gust attack, sending it back at its said user. This is baltoy's first battle. It was never trained, nor ever actually released from its pokeball since it went in. Still, being the type of pokemon baltoy is, it really couldn't show emotion through facial expression, but you could tell it was happy and excited. "Good job Top!" its trainer exclaimed.

Seeing that it could not deal with Baltoy, the Pidove tried to run away. However, before it did so, it got hit by the Gust attack that was deflected back at itself and so it got defeated. The ground and psychic type pokemon managed to defeat Pidove... That was a really good result for the pokemon's first battle. Baltoy seemed to be a strong pokemon.

And as soon as Pidove was defeated, a trainer approached with an evil look on his face. He looked towards Dennis and said ironically "Was that all you could do? Pathetic.". Who was that man and what did he want?

"Top, return" the baltoy was sent back to its pokeball. Dennis put on a quizzical expression, and looked at the other trainer. He holstered the pokeball on his belt, and grabbed them. "What do you want?" Dennis asked with a bored tone. His stomach growled, and his person sighed. "Tell you what? If you think I'm so pathetic, why don't we have a battle?" his hunger seemed to be speaking this time "you win, then you'll have the right to say such a thing, and I'll also throw in 100 Pokemoney. If I win, you pay for my lunch." The trainer took the other ball from his belt, and held it out.

"Hmph... If I lose, then I will give you 100 pokemoney..." the trainer said with a serious look on his face. That trainer... He was nothing like Dennis. Instead, he was a serious trainer who believed that pokemon existed solely for battling. He smiled evily and said "I will show you, though, that the percentage of winning against me is less than twenty percent... All of you... Trainers who have a bond with their pokemon... I cannot afford losing to the likes of you.".

Afterwards, he grabbed a pokeball out of his pockets. He threw it on the air and as it fell on his hand, he threw it on the ground quickly while saying "Elekid. Stand by for battle.". Soon, the pokeball opened and the electric pokemon appeared. It looked towards Dennis with a smile and an angry look on its face and took a stance, showing that it was ready to start the battle... Who would emerge victorious?

Dennis didn't really want to fight, though, in his mind, he saw the trainer standing before him, as just a pompous jerk. He looked up at his opponent, straight in the eye, and released his dratini. "Alright Ivan, your break was long enough" the tiny dragon wriggled around in the air for a short moment, until finally planting itself onto the ground. "Alright you wannabe. If you have something to prove, good luck against me; because your chances of winning are less than one percent!" Dennis felt the fighting spirit- he's never had this feeling before, and it's exiting. He is now caught up in the heat of the moment. "I'll allow you to make the first move!"

"Hmph." the trainer said with an ironic face as he pointed towards the left. He told to his pokemon "Okay Elekid. Start by using Leer to lower Dratini's defense.". Afterwards, the pokemon started looking towards Dratini with an intimitating face. It only hoped that the attack would work so that its defense would be lowered. If it did, the dragon type pokemon would take more damage from the electric pokemon's Quick Attack and that would give an advantage to the trainer and his Elekid...

That was a leer attack. The dratini wasn't fazed, especially by something which didn't really do damage. Dennis knows that electric types are weak against dragon and ground types, so he should have the upper hand, though level is another story. Dennis's dratini possessed thunder wave, which could paralyze his opponent. Though elekid is an electric type, and strong against his own type, may still somewhat feel electric attacks. "Ivan, thunder wave!" the little dragon, lifted what would be a trunk, and looked to the sky. It practiced hard learning this move. Soon, a jolt of electricity shot from the gem on the dratini's forehead.

"Hmph. Dodge with Quick Attack." the trainer commanded his pokemon and Elekid started running extremely fast, dodging the Thunder Wave that would paralyze it and would slow it down if it hit successfully. Then, its trainer pointed towards Dratini with an evil look on his face and said "Now, strike with Quick Attack.".

As soon as it listened to the second command, the pokemon turned its body, changing its direction and pointing towards Dratini. Then, it started moving extremely fast towards it and aimed to strike it with a swift hit. The battle had just started. Who would emerge victorious?!

Now, elekid was going straight at Dennis's dratini. He saw this as an opportunity. "Thunderwave, again!" his dratini used the attack, just in point blank range. Now, the only options for elekid are to dodge, or get hit back the attack, though it seemed unlikely it could dodge from such a range. Dennis smiled, somehow knowing he would emerge victorious.
This thunder wave was exactly like the last one. Strong, and shooting straight out of the gem. This time though, it wouldn't likely miss.

As Dratini launched the Thunder Wave, Maximillion worried a little bit. However, knowing that Quick Attack was always a priority move and that Elekid would be fast enough to dodge most of the incoming attacks, he stopped worrying. With a serious face, he decided to do something unexpected. He said "Okay. Take it on and keep with the Quick Attack.". Surprisingly, enough, he allowed his Elekid get hit by the Thunder Wave. However, Elekid continued marching with the Quick Attack, without showing a loss of speed because of its attack's nature and on top of tha just how Thunder Wave was very difficult to dodge, Quick Attack was, too because of the distance.

Now, elekid was close, the battle was just getting started. "Ivan, choke his!" Dennis commanded. The dratini went straight for a wrap attack. If this attack were successful, he'd also use a leer attack to somewhat even the odds. Thunderwave was to no avail, but wrap can't be escaped as easily, not when you're already trapped at least. Dennis became confident, enough so, that he even began to sit down, folding his legs.

"Hmph, this is pathetic." the trainer said as he allowed his Elekid to get caught by the Warp attack. Then, with a serious look on his face, he said "Now, Elekid..." as sparks got out of the electric pokemon's body. As it was getting hit, its Static Ability started getting enabled. If the sparks hit the Dratini, they would paralyze the pokemon and it seemed to be impossible to dodge as they were touching each other. And on top of that, the trainer commanded his pokemon "Continue with Thundeshock." making Elekid release a powerful amount of electricity around Dratini that also seemed to be impossible to dodge because of the fact that they were in touch. That was Maximillion's plan from the begining... He wanted Dratini to wrap itself to Elekid and then the pokemon would be able to perform attacks from close distance without giving time to Dratini to dodge.

Of course, electric attacks weren't very effective against dragon types. Nevertheless, the dratini cried out in pain. Dratini's shed skin aloud it to shake off the effects of static. "Don't let him get to you! Leer attack, then strangle him again!" Still wrapped around his opponent, the dratini used a leer attack. This would have to even the odds.

"Close your eyes to not look at Dratini's Leer then strike with a shift Quick Attack!" Maximillion said while pointing towards Dratini. Then, Elekid did as its trainer said. It closed its eyes quickly, avoiding getting affected by the Leer move and then it moved its left hand out of the wrap and attempted to strike Dratini with a swift punch that came from it. Thunder Wave proved to be useless to Elekid's speed as it could echance its own speed with its Quick Attack to great levels. The battle was heated for sure. However, while it attempted to strike with that move, it was still squized from the Wrap, receiving a little more damage.

The dratini continued its wrap attack. It deflected the punch with a quick spasm. This would not end fairly well. Dennis thought it may have been a better idea to use baltoy, though he already chose. He had to continue with the battle- honorably. "So, what's your name?" Dennis asked the other trainer.

"Maximillion is the name." the trainer commanded his pokemon with a serious look on his face. Then, while keeping his serious look, he pointed towards Dratini and said "Time to finish this battle off Elekid. Strike a combination of your Quick Attack and your Thundershock.". In an instant, Elekid swiftly moved its hand in an attempt to strike Dratini with a Quick Attack, and on top of that it started launching a Thundershock out of its whole body. Dratini was touching Elekid so it seemed to be difficult to dodge... Especially twice in a row.

The dratini had fallen off the elekid's body, but was still strong enough to fight. The only good possible option was to bluntly attack. Otherwise, give up. No, the adrenaline was pumping. Now, is time t step up the game. The dratini shot three thunderwaves at once, paralleled to each other. If all three hit, it would stop an average human's heart.

"Use Thundershock." the trainer said with a serious look on his face, while pointing towards Dratini once again. Then, Elekid nodded and it quickly used the electric type move around its body. The electricity shielded the pokemon and moreover, Thunder Wave fused with it, increasing its power termendously. It was the perfect chance for the trainer and his pokemon to strike. He commanded as soon as Elekid powered up its attack "Now, redirect the attack towards Dratini." and the pokemon did so, in an attempt to damage Dratini and finally defeat it...

Regardless of the speed of the attack, the dratini was simply able to duck underneath it, with only feeling slight of the effects. Sh*t, I'm losing, thought the trainer "Ivan, you think you could still take him down?" the little dragon nodded its head, and made a slight squealing noise. "Alright, give him another wrap attack, and this time, don't quit, just stay on him this time, I have a plan." Dratini got close to the elekid, wriggling quickly and strong, like a snake about to attack its prey. It looked at the elekid from the side, as though trying to throw it off, and then- the strike.
