Lucas tossed and turned as the Spearow and Starly sang in the sunrise, this was one of the most beautiful wake up sounds you could get in the world of pokémon, sure beat being Ice Punched by Nightmare, which was never a pleasant sensation, being hit with a powerful punch that possessed enough elemental energy to turn you into a solid block of Ice, this often gave Lucas a cold when it was used on him, even worse is being Thundershocked by Coil, his Magnemite thundershocked him to wake him up, especially now that Coil didn't like him so much for separating it from its' best friend, Klink, but sacrifices had to be made, and he really needed a Magnemite, and he simply took the first one he could find, and he didn't think they would even have things that could be considered friends, as Magnemite were considered pests for absorbing all of the electromagnetic energy in power lines, which could cause major black outs in the area, and you could often see groups of Magnemite near the transformers on power lines absorbing all the energy from them, which also costed money.

Nonetheless, Nurse Joy walked over to him and gently shook Lucas. "Wake up sleepyhead, your breakfast is nearly ready, and so are your pokemon's at that." she spoke, with the same motherly and endearing smile that all of the Joy's had, Lucas smiled back "Thanks." He responded to Nurse Joy, before he removed the blanket covering him and woke up Larvesta who was sleeping next to him, as she wanted the warmth and comfort of her master, Larvesta twitched a bit before stretching out a bit, "Larv~" it mewled, a bit tired, she stretched out before hopping up off the bed, all the pokemon were out of their pokeballs. "Good morning." spoke Nightmare, "Scy!" Scyther called out, waving its' scythe in a friendly manner. "Mite." Magnemite cooed, "Form!" Castform mewed, and Seel barked and clapped his fins together like a seal usually does when it is amused, "Oh wow, such a lively crowd!" Nurse Joy spoke, as one of the waiters came and placed bowls of pokémon food on the floor, as all of them crowded around the bowls and ate rather noisily, Lucas tucked in to his six stack of pancakes, "Wow Nurse Joy, I didn't know you were such an experienced cook." He spoke, stunned at how delicious the pancakes looked, "Well, when you spend your entire life taking care of people and pokémon I suppose it has a profound effect on your cooking!" she giggled, Lucas was the only person in this pokémon center, as this place wasn't very popular, so there wasn't anyone here most of the time, so he could let all of his pokemon roam free inside without fear of it being cramped.

Lucas took his knife and fork and begun to dig into his pancakes, cutting the entire stack into a slice and cramming the six decker slab into his mouth, chewing on it, mumbling in pleasure of how tasty this meal was, he had never eaten better pancakes anywhere else! They were each really thick, and lavished with butter and maple syrup, just how he liked them, Lucas was going to eat well today, as he had another day of training ahead of him, he wanted to train his Gastly even more so he would be ready to fight the gym leader, he knew that the gym leader specialized in Grass types, and Lucas had an effective team to take her down, as he had a lot of fire types and a lot of bug types, both of which were very effective against grass types, Lucas truly believed that he had what it takes to be a Pokémon master, and would do anything to gain that title, but what Lucas really wanted, was some company...He had his pokémon, but he didn't have any human company, he'd at least like someone to travel with him, a girl, maybe. He just really wanted someone to journey with, as it felt rather lonesome doing this tiring journey alone, having no-one to laugh with, to have fun with, maybe to even cry with, he just felt alone in this journey, as if no-one was supporting him, well, he was edged on by his determination to be the best, but that wasn't really enough, friendship with pokémon was nice, but nothing beat friendship with other humans, the ability to have someone as intelligent as you to speak to, what would also be nice would be a romantic interest, Lucas never had a girlfriend before, he wasn't very good at confessing his feelings to women, it was just something that Lucas was completely incapable of doing, he wasn't timid, he just wasn't very good at admitting things, and he had been like that since his childhood, which greatly annoyed him, because it gave him a sense of cowardice, and that's not what Lucas was, he was often up for a battle, and never backed down from anything, he was one of the more determined trainers, he was one of the very few trainers who could be confident yet not be arrogant at the same time, he hated people like that, arrogance was never cool, if you were going to claim something or say that something is true, you need evidence to back it up, otherwise it's all lies, then again, most trainers were all the same, Lucas also didn't have much of a liking towards contest co-ordinaters, most of them were snobs, and were too full of themselves and their pokemon, the rookie co-ordinators were fine though, but it was the more experiences ones who annoyed Lucas the most, as he really disliked those who were so full of themselves.

Lucas continued to indulge in his pancakes, this place was really quiet, due to it being near a cavern, and this cavern was usually filled with rather dangerous pokémon, and as such not many people dared to venture near it, as sometimes there were pokémon like Salamence, who were very intimidating and very vicious, there have even been a few casualties from dragon type pokemon in this cave, but Lucas wasn't going to venture very deep into it, so he shouldn't be bothered by the more powerful Dragon pokemon like Garchomp, who was also very fast, and was very hard to run away from, since it could fly faster than Mach 1, which was basically the speed of sound, and, well, no human could run faster than a Garchomp, so running was nearly futile, but near the entrance there were only weak dragon types, so this would be an easy way to train his Gastly, who used Ice Punch, which was super effective against dragon types, they were weak to ice type attacks, and also lightning type attacks, so Lucas could switch to Magnemite if he ever got into trouble and if Gastly would need switching out, so it was nice that he had an effective backup if his plan didn't work, he was happy that he was in an area where he had the upper hand, as knowing a pokemon's weaknesses and strengths was incredibly important, as it could lead to winning or losing a battle, Lucas was trying to balance out all of his types so he could have one of each, but it was proving difficult to find powerful dual elemental pokemon.

Lucas continued to chow down on his pancakes, loving just how filling these things were, in about 10 minutes he was finished, Lucas patted his stomach in appeal, "Damn those were good, Thanks Nurse Joy!" he spoke, grateful for such a delicious meal, he walked over to the counter and put down the money he needed to pay for the food and the night stay, he thanked Nurse Joy before he exited the pokemon center "Thanks for coming dear! Come back soon!" she smiled in her usual positive attitude, "Oh don't worry, I will!' He responded, returning all his pokémon into their pokeballs, before clipping all of them onto his belt, and setting out of the door, and towards the cave, this cave looked absolutely gigantic, this cave was bright in the entrance, but further down there were fewer holes, and so there was no way for light to enter the cave, making it very dark, but the entrance of the cave had enough light to see, Lucas was suddenly shoved by a trainer. "What are you doing here, human!" the man shouted, Lucas just raised one eyebrow at the man, he looked like he came straight out of a school play, he had a dragonite suit on, with his head poking out of a hole in the neck, Lucas tried to conceal his laughter at this idiot, but ultimately failed and nearly died of laughter. "You think that's funny kid?" the Dragonite man asked, in what sounded like a threatening manner. "Yeah! You're dressed like a dork!" Lucas responded. "Grr...You'll regret that!" spoke the dragonite man, "Go Dratini!" the man spoke, sending out a Dratini, the red beam making the Dratini appear on the cave floor, Lucas sent out Nightmare into the battlefield, commanding it to use Ice Punch, a move which was super effective on Dratini, knocking it out instantly, Lucas simply grinned in a smug manner, the Dragonite man looked at Lucas with wide eyes, "Not so smug now are you?" Lucas commented with a grin, thinking that he might as well troll the man while he was at it, Gastly did a smug grin just like his trainer did, the Dragonite man looked annoyed, "Don't think you can get all of 'em! I got five more, kid!" The man blared, this guy was really beginning to annoy Lucas, "Go Bagon!" he shouted, sending out hs Bagon, which appeared on the cave floor and tried to use Take Down, pity such an attack didn't work on Gastly, as Gastly was a Ghost type and Normal type attacks just passed through him. "Are you stupid or something?" Lucas asked with a grin. The man began to panic, "Bagon! Dragon Rage!" The man commanded. "I think not." Lucas responded, as Gastly gave a nice right hook with an Ice punch to the Bagon's stomach, sending it flying backwards, KO'ing the Bagon, the man looked REALLY annoyed now, he sent out his second Dratini, the Dratini trying to use Dragonbreath on Gastly, who disappeared and Icepunched it once again, sending the Dratini flying into a nearby rock, with a thud, before it fell, knocked out and shivering, the man was annoyed now, he sent out another Bagon, but the same thing happened, the Bagon was knocked on its' A** by Gastly, this continued until his last pokemon, which Gastly also defeated with the same attack, the pokemon trainer looked crushed. "My beautiful dragons!", "Told you so." Lucas replied with a grin. "Fork over the cash." Lucas grinned, the man putting a few coins into Lucas' hand for winning the battle, this was just fine, Lucas didn't want much money, he had enough as it is, but the man was being such a snob that he should at least get something, Lucas grinned and continued his journey out of the caves, returning his Gastly into his pokéball, Lucas ducking his head and exiting the cave, he continued his adventure and was going to walk out of this village and head someplace else, he wanted to see what was going on in other cities, to see what the other villages had in store for him, and maybe even catch some more pokemon and make more friends, he enjoyed capturing more pokemon, as all pokémon acted individually, and seeing and observing how every pokemon acted was thrilling and interesting, Lucas also enjoyed observing pokemon, watching how they acted in their natural habitat, as he wanted to act as they were used to people or other pokemon acting, and maybe even see what activities they partake in and how they act around other pokemon.
