It was one thing to enter unprepared into foreign territory. It was a completely different thing to have been invited somewhere else, and end up where one isn't supposed to be, but hey. Life puts people in strange places.By now, the street lamps have already been turned on, though in the vastness of the meadows one could barely tell at its core, for the lights would be dim seen from such a distance. For all the meadow cared, the city could be having a blackout. Not long ago, the sun had just rested on the horizon, not to rise again until the night is over. A cool, moist breeze blows through the meadows, playing a gentle lullaby for the meadow's many inhabitants.

Reaver stood upright, staying silent as he stared at the night sky. From where he was positioned, the stars appeared at their brightest. Though Reaver had a face of stone, on the inside he was smiling. The night always had some mysterious feeling to it,which somehow makes Reaver feel at peace with himself. At the same time, it raises questions, and makes him wonder deeply, primarily about pokemon. There are many parts of his history which he knows of, though at the same time, there are chunks of it still left missing. It has been a day since Reaver set out on his journey, seeing the professor, and catching his first pokemon. He also ran into a few strange characters which could spell trouble later on. Who were those men?

Pokemon seemed to be important to Reaver. It was his talent, and perhaps, he could use it to his advantage. After all, he was eating better using prize money won from battles, rather than having to beg people for food and money on a beach, otherwise having to catch his own fish and sea fowl. Still, the ones he currently posses aren't very powerful, only having them for so long, and he also lacked a full party. With this reason in mind, Reaver continued his search through the meadow.

Knowing that he will encounter a wild pokemon sooner or later, he grabbed onto one of his balls. "Sergei, come forth", he said, pressing the center button of the pokeball, releasing his bird pokemon.

You would see a whole entire group of petilil and cottonnee dancing with one another. The cottonee's were in the air and the petilil's on the ground. They all looked so happy and peaceful. It seemed to be some performance they were putting on because they all clustered together and when they released a whimiscott revealed itself from the cluster. It started to dance as it used hurricane to lift the cottonee's in the air in a spiral formation.

The sun went down peacefully, allowing the stars to shine, illuminating the flowery scene. This was when its denizens were most alive. Dancing about in joyful bliss, playfully and happily, were a group of petilil and cottonee. As it seemed, they were putting on a show. A show for Reaver? He and his pokemon were the only others, it wasn't like there would be a bigger audience... right? The next second, a whimsicott revealed itself, using a hurricane to lift the cottonee up in the air. Reaver clapped as he saw the display. He was certain that they too would be happy performing.

He stepped forward, though he wasn't sure how he would invite one into his team. After all, every aspect of a show is valuable, or at least so thought Reaver. He didn't know too much about show business though. On the other hand, it didn't matter. He recalled a time in his life, back when he was in his home region, where a girl had shown him pokemon coordinating- a new practive which was big in other regions, but not the one he was from. He recalled that a trainer would use his or her pokemon to put on huge displays of art, showing off a pokemon's moves. He didn't quite understand this at the time, though at the current moment, he did. Perhaps it would be a good idea to become a coordinator. Reaver smiled once more.

Reaver took another step forward, toward the performers as their show had stopped. "Hello there", he said whimsically.

The performance ended quickly as the whimiscott stopped its hurricane attack. The cottonnees fell to the ground slowly as the petilil jumped in the air and out from them a Lilligant appeared. The whimiscott jumped up on top of the lilligants head and the performance was officially over. That's when they noticed you and stopped. They all greated you with joy on top of joy. The lililigant grabbed you by the hands and begun to swing you around. The whimiscott decided to give your wingull a little ride using its hurricane move again.

"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!" Reaver exclaimed as he was being spun around. He could feel something coming up from the bottom of his stomach, perhaps the days lunch. It was a good thing he hadn't had dinner yet or else that would have come out- sooner even. Still, Reaver had a strong gut and managed to hold in his throw up, swallowing the bits that fell out. Going down a second time wasn't too comfortable though, nor was it as delicious as it was the first time.

Reaver's wingull on the other hand was having a much better time. The attack after all, was held back, and Sergei was in fact a flying type, getting to the center of the hurricane and gliding downward. Sergei glided back to his trainer, and they both waited until it was time to leave. "It's getting dark" Reaver proclaimed.

The lilligant stopped as it saw how dark it was getting. All of the pokemon stopped and bunched around Whimiscott and Lilligant. The two pokemon looked at you as they smiled. They had offered for you to come to their home with them. They really enjoyed your company, and it was rare for something like this to happen. Shall you go to their home with them something incredible might happen. Shall you not this opportunity may never happen again. Its your choice, choose wisely.

"What are you saying?" Reaver said. Unfortunately, he was not a pokemon himself, or else he would have known what they were saying. Judging by body language, the group of grass pokemon wanted Reaver to follow them. Of course, he wasn't sure what to do. It wasn't like he could travel back to the city, not at this hour. Besides, he wasn't going to sleep on the streets- that's what a bum does. Then again, here, Reaver was nothing but a bum. Perhaps he could stay with the pokemon for the night.

Reaver removed a pokeball from its holster. "Sergei, come back", he commanded. A stream of red light escaped from the open red-and-white ball, surrounding the bird pokemon, and sending it back to its recess. After, he followed the grass pokemon.

As you followed the pokemon they led you deep within the meadow. This was a place not so commonly seen by humans, so it looked like its been untouched for years. The colors of the plant life was unlike any other that you've seen ebfore, so refreshing so revived. Rejuvenated. It was then when you came to this gigantic opening in the meadow. Flowers, and more flowers. Flower hills, and Flower trees all over the place. The nighttime sky grew as the stars and the moon sparkled and twinkled down onto the meadow flower complimenting the color of the flowers. This was their home.

Reaver follows the grass type pokemon into some kind of grotto. Its outer appearance was quite feral, a bit wild for Reaver's tastes, though he didn't mind. After all, he once had to sleep out in the snow. No matter how wild, Reaver couldn't help but feel at home among the flowers. "Wow, so this is you place huh?" Reaver marveled. This would be a nice time to release his pokemon, so that they may see this beautiful, one of a kind sight, though he was unsure whether or not he could without the owner's consent. He filled his nose with the scent of flowers, and released it the same breath as a question, "is it okay if I showed this to my own pokemon?"

The Lilligant looked at you quietly as it mused to your words. It then nodded its head with joy and happiness as it prepared flower beds for you guys to sleep at. The whimiscott, Petilil's and Cottonee's decided to help out Lilligant as you would let your pokemon out. The star sky grew brighter as your surroundings grew clearer, but all of this kind, soft-spirited feelings was slowly put to a hault, when you heard a large startling noise.

It seemed that their leader, the lilligant was very open to guests, or perhaps it was just Reaver who was lucky. A free show and a stay- only a few days back on the road and Reaver was already being treated like a champion again. No one seems to have heard of him in the Honiso region, after all. Smiling at the grass type pokemon's nod, Reaver took the two pokeballs from his pocket, and released them into the air. Out came his two flying type pokemon: Sergei, the wingull; and Amaiya, the woobat. The two happily fluttered about.

Just as he released the two pokemon, a strange startling noise could be heard, though Reaver couldn't tell of its origins. His two pokemon had stopped, his wingull, perching itself on Reaver's head. "Amaiya, can you lead me to the source of that noise?" Reaver commanded. His pokemon nodded, and the two were off.

The noise grew louder and louder. You would then see a red light followed by the word "Return," and in front of you stood a giant man. He could tower over almost anything. You saw him several feet away from you as he seemed to be near the entrance/exit of the known grotto, "So this is it," he said grinning a smug look on his face, "The legendary grotto of the meadows eh?" He looked at you, "Why is a worthless kid like you here?" he looked around for a minute.

Reaver continued to follow Amaiya, Sergei now flying on his own, until Reaver happened across a mysterious red light. Amaiya stayed in the air, not moving from her position, but still flapping about rather quietly. Sergei again returned to perch on Reaver's head. Standing right in front of them was a huge Goliath of a man- and Reaver was David. Not being the kind of man to back away, Reaver stood his ground, like any man would when confronted by a beast. It was, after all, the best way to get rid of a predator.

Next, the man spoke. "The legendary grotto?" Reaver was fairly confused, his mind boggling with several questions. "Excuse me sir, but what are you doing here?" Reaver replied, rather defiantly putting a stress on the word 'you'. At any minute, he was ready to sic his two pokemon on this strange man.

The man looked down upon you and your pokemon as a smirk on his face turned into a sly grin, then that sly grin turned into a cheesy smile followed by booming laughter. "I remember when my pokemon were like yours, weak and worthless," He took out two pokeballs, "Now they are strogner and meanigful," Throwing the pokeballs in the air out came a pelliper and a swoobat. Both pokemon flew in circles over head as they looked down at the terrain below them, "See what I mean?" he said looking at you, "I am going to catch that Lilligant and Whimiscott, they will sell big on the black market, don't ya think?"

Reaver laughed at the man's strange tongue. "Strogner? Meanigful? Please. Asides from the fact that they're evolved forms, what makes them so much stronger and meaningful?" It wasn't like Reaver to fight back like he did, but he did it. Still, this man raised several questions. For instance, he wanted to 'sell them big on the black market'? Was this man part of the "Mao Corporation", that Reaver has heard about? Also, his pokemon were just like his- only evolved. Interesting. Still, like he said, just because they're bigger, doesn't make them stronger.

Suddenly, Reaver gained even more gall. He doesn't want all of those pokemon to be hurt. "Amaiya, Sergei, protect the grass pokemon", he commanded. Reaver felt like a hero. He wasn't a big one, but still a hero. "Alright, I am not going to fight you. Why don't we reason like men? After all, how are you going to capture all these pokemon? Do you even have that many pokeballs?" He tried to reason. Hopefully the words would get through the man's thick skull.

The man looked at you with a stern look, "My I don't need pokeballs when I have my swoobat and pelliper by my side," The guy laughs and then points in your direction, "Pelliper, use ice beam on the boy. Show him what happens to those who don't know how to follow business," The pelliper opened its large bill of a mouth and released a beam of ice from it. As it fired at you, the swoobat seemed to be flying above it in your general direction, its wings as blue as water as it seemed to have been getting ready to air slash.

Was this guy actually going to use this pokemon to attack Reaver? Is that even considered ethical? This didn't matter, as Reaver ducked and rolled over before getting hit. As he rolled, Reaver grabbed a rock, and threw it at the man's swoobat, though aiming much further, so the shot would hit harder.

"Amaiya, use gust attack on swoobat! Sergei, use watergun the same place!" Reaver commanded his pokemon. Although this man had muscle, he was surely lacking in brain power. On second thought though, he probably needed help in both, but of course Reaver couldn't say that.

The gust did little damage to the Swoobat as it used the currents to its advantage to avoid the water gun attack, however the air slash attack was canceleld so the swoobat had to reboot it a bit,"Hydro pump Pelipper!" The man said as pelipper shot a gigantic load of water from its mouth in your pokemons general direction. The swoobat evaded the attack by doing an arial back flip in the air. The air slash attack would continue with swoobat out of the rocks range. As the hydro pump was headed toward your pokemon the air slash was headed toward you. Keep in mind that these pokemon are acting off what their trainer is telling them, abusing them with rocks isn't going to make the situation any better.

Reaver got on his feet and began to run towards the Goliath. "Sergei, use water gun! Amaiya, use confusion to take control of pelliper's water gun! Both of you, attack!" Reaver commanded, almost completely ignoring the air slash attack. Before the man noticed, he ducked underneath him, making him perhaps take the attack. Next, Reaver attempted to punch the man in his nether regions.

Everything seemed to be going in your favor. The attacks you used to stop the pelliper worked. You caught it off guard just in the nick of time as its attack was soon cancelled. You ran to the man and you were about to punch him where it counts, but it was a bad thing to ignore the airslash as it hit you where it counts. The man looked at you and laughed. "How pathetic he said as his swoobat flew down beside him. It looked at your woobat and seemed a bit concerned for it. Did it not like fighting its own kind? "Okay now, swoobat use psychic on the brats," the swoobat hesitated.

(Isn't that a bit autohitty? After all, I did duck behind him after the attack was made...)

Reaver could feel the attack on his back. His cloth her ripped, and he had a bleeding wound, but that didn't stop him. After all, it was just a back. Besides, it didn't really hit any vital spots anyways. It was fortunate that his pokemon kept the pelliper busy, otherwise, he'd be in more of a mess. "Alright, Amaiya, use gust!" Reaver commanded right before his pokemon were hit with psychic. They were pulled, glowing with a pruple aura frolm the enemy swoobat's attack. It was fortunate though, that the gust was made sooner, or else Amaiya would never have been able to use it.

Now, Reaver was right under the giant 'trainer'. There, he grabbed his legs, and bit his ankle as hard as he could. It wasn't the classiest thing to do, but it was what he had to do- or at least what he thought was right. Next, he would attempt to punch the same area as he had before, not letting go of the hunter's legs. Hopefully, he wouldn't be kicked off.

Biting the the ankle of the man wasn't the best thing to do. he did look like a giant sweaty beast, but I guess you gotta do what you gotta do, even if you get cavities from it. The man began to kick you hard trying to get you off as he yelled at you calling you names using vulgar language. The swoobat didn't like to see what was happening, as it began to use osychic to stop the man from hurting you.

Reaver was knocked away, holding his arms in front of him to brace for another attack- but it dind't happen. He removed his hands to see the man somewhat paralyzed, and wonder what could have done it. Amaiya couldn't have, she was preocupied with pelliper... Reaver turned his head back to see the man's swoobat, glowing with the same aura as he did. So it was its psychic attack? It seemed a bit strange how a pokemon would hold purposely hold back its own master. Reaver got up and looked at the swoobat saying, "thank you? I guess?" He turned his focus back at Goliath. "I'm really sorry for the trouble I've caused you."
