Appearance: Caln has thick brown hair long enough to reach down to his neck. His eyes are naturally a light brown but he wears red coloured contacts to turn them a red colour, not that his eyes can be seen behind the sunglasses he wears nearly all the time. Aside from his eyewear he usually tends to wear longcoats or oversized jackets, both of which tend to be a murkey brown colour. He occationally wears a shirt or two but favours t-shirts more often then not. He'll wear pretty much any kind of trouser but when it comes to shoes they must be a dark colour or he thinks they look stupid on him.

Personality: Caln has three favourite things, fire, the colour red and dragons. He is a kind but serious person with a dislike for losing, however he is not a sore loser and will try to learn from any loss to become stronger. That being said Caln is not a strong person, often giving up on things before they begin or putting himself down with a 'cant do it' attitude.
He will always stick by his friends and team mates despite his lack of belief in his own abilities. He believes in treating Pokemon with care and respect but not at the expense of spoiling them. Due to his dislike of losing he will push his team to be the best they can, sometimes perhapse too far.

History: Growing up Caln was the center of attention, the youngest of 3 children and friends with most of the other children. His mother and father were happy and content and his older brother and sister were always there for him. At a young age Caln encountered his first Pokemon, someone had brought one in to class one day, a Growlith that was his families pet. Naturally Caln and his brother and sister nagged their parents for a Pokemon pet of their own.
They gave in quite easily as when Caln reached the age of 8 his parents bought a Meowth from a travelling merchant, he and his brother and sister were delighted. They played with the cat Pokemon nearly everyday for a whole month until it happened. While everyone was out the Meowth searched the house taking anything of value it could find before running off out the house, never to be seen by the family again.
From there things turned from bad to worse, his parents struggled to make ends meet and his mother, who had been a major ray of light in the past, became depressed, she'd lost a ring that had been in her family for generations to that stray Meowth. Caln turned away from Pokemon from then on, he lost the attention he had in the past and began doubting himself and the world around him.
One by one the children grew up and left their family house, his brother turned to contest and his sister became a co-ordinator. Caln instead worked a dead end job until he reached the age of 23, he thought nothing of Pokemon as the company simply used them as tools for a job or so he believed.
But once he reached 23 Caln decided to give up his mundane lifestyle for something he could enjoy, but nothing came to mind. Sitting all alone in the middle of a city Caln saw people pass by, some were everyday people, others were trainers or breeders or coordinators, but all had Pokemon. It took only the sight of a fire type pokemon to remember the days when he was a child that enjoyed the company of pokemon. He remembered when his brother and sister went off on their journeys, he heard mention of a Prof Hawthorn. So he headed off in search of this professor in hopes of getting a Pokemon of his own.

Personality:Ignis is couragious and loyal, he will protect his owner no matter what and follow any command given. Ignis will try his best in any fight even if the odds are stacked against him.
