There are a few pokemon pretty rare to the region, and of course some indigenous populations. These rare pokemon are usually placed in a contained area known as the safari zone, where they roam free-ish. Trainers would go to these safari to see and catch wild pokemon in their natural habitat.
The safari zone for Honiso could be placed on an island off the coast of the mainland, and feature a host of exotic looking pokemon, with a rainforest-like backdrop.
