As the trainer walked in the town a young man appeared in front of him. The young man seemed to be around twenty. He was not very tall but not too short either. He had black hair and light blue eyes. He had a sad look on his face, like something wrong was going on. What could be possibly going on? Dennis would have to ask if he wanted to learn... And if he helped the man, who knew what he would learn. What would the trainer do? Would he ask or not? It was up to him to decide what to do... Completely up to him.

Dennis walked up to the young man, and decided to push him aside not saying a word. His cloth clung to his sweaty body, blown by the wind. Strange, how a man would just appear out of nowhere. Perhaps he needed something, or maybe Dennis had done something, or at least someone in his attire. Curiously, Dennis turned back and asked the man "What do you want?" in a soft quiet voice.

"Hm? I want... I want to rechallenge the Gym... But it is impossible!" the trainer said with a sad look on his face. He sighed and continued "I had two battles with the leader today and after losing these two times I was told that I cannot rechallenge the Gym until next week! And not only that, but my team was easily destroyed by the Gym Leader!". Apparently, the man was desperate. He had just lost to a battle with the place's Gym Leader... Now, that was something. If Dennis really wanted, he could pull out information about the Gym Leader's pokemon and think of a strategy... It was up to him to decide what he would do. Would he ask more things or not?

Interesting, I was about to challenge her Dennis thought. "I'll see if I can do anything" is what he was thinking. What he actually did, was simply walk past the man straight to the gym. It didn't matter whether or not the gym leader is stronger than he is, Dennis using only his Ivan can take him down. Hopefully, the gym leader wasn't that strong.

As Dennis approached the Gym, a violet haired girl exited from the main door of the gym and rapidly closed it, locking it with a key that put in a pocket.

The girl turned, noticing the boy, and reserved him a cold stare.
"The gym is closed today. Yes, because *I* am bored. And because *I* say so. I'm not in the mood for battling another passerby, as the incompetent that just challenged me twice made me lose the will to fight today."
Before Dennis could reply anything she added "And so, I'm off to buy myself an ice cream!" The girl started trotting away like a spoiled little brat.

"Hm?" Dennis raised his eyebrows a bit. It seemed as though she is the gym leader. He grabbed the girls arm, somehow out of impulse. "Oh really?" Dennis asked "I'll assure you; I won't be so competent." The trainer shrugged as his dratini coiled around Dennis's other arm.

"D-Don't touch me!" She screamed, her face completely blushed "Who do you think you are!?" added, waving her arms around.
"I said I want an icecream." Her eyes blinked with an evil light and the purple haired girl smirked "If you want a battle, bring me an icecream!" she concluded in a spoiled tone.
"Why are you looking at me like that!? I want my icecream, now!"

Dennis didn't say a word. He simply walked way, subtly turning back to spy at the girl. He was single minded on that battle. IT wouldn't be bad to actually wait a bit, perhaps train, bit no- Dennis dismissed this thought. He wanted that battle. "Ivan, thunder shock." he commanded. Of course, his little dragon didn't actually have a target. It knew what he meant though, With a bit more sense, it looked at its trainer puzzlingly.

The girl stared at Dennis walking away and pouted.
She didn't hear Dennis's order, apparently too busy repeating herself with a note of frustration in her tone: "Didn't you hear what I said!? Bring me an Ice Cream and you'll have your battle!"
She tapped her feet on the ground with her hans crossed.

Dennis wouldn't take no for an answer. He also wasn't going to bend his knees for something he'd already have to work to get to. He looked at the trainer, shaking his head in refusal. "I'll tell you what; if you beat me, I'll buy you an ice cream. If I win, you give me a badge, and you buy me some ice cream." Dennis tried to be a shrewd negotiator this time. He is persistent this time, though he usually would be. "Ivan, you ready?"

"That's not a fair deal" she commented in a flat tone, as she raised an eyebrow and put a finger below her chin, studying Dennis and his dragon pokémon with an amused expression.
"If you'd win you'd win two things. If I'd win I'd win only one. And you're the one in need of something from me."
She smirked "Make it a fair deal, and maaaaaaybe I can battle you. Make it advantageous for me if I win, and I will surely battle you".

There was at the voice yelling at the back of Dennis's mind which told him to act more agressively, thoguh he could control himself. "I'm sorry ma'am; I'm not going to take no for an answer" he claimed. His dratini looked at him with a funny look, telling him almost not to make things more difficult, though of course, he wouldn't comply. His face went back to its original blank stare. He looked at her with it- dead in the eye too. What an awkward moment.

"You're stubborn, eh?" The girl turned her head slightly, and stared at Dennis with a strange expression "Can't you really wait five minutes as I eat an ice cream? I never said the gym was closed for today. I really need a short break. The day is long and I doubt our battle can last that long."
She waved her hair with a hand "If you don't want to buy me an ice cream that's fine, you little stingy trainer. But I want my ice cream now much more stubbornly than you want your battle."
The girl raised an eyebrow.
"Five minutes of your life. You can also spend them with a beautiful girl like me without yelling orders to your pokémon. Or maybe you're stingy with your time too?"

Dennis sighed, and flipped a coin into Venus's hands. 50 pokedollars, it was. "Alright, go and buy yourself whatever you like with that. I don't care." He explained nonchalantly "I'll wait here for a few minutes." He layed his foot off the girl, and stepped back to wall-sit on the gym. His dratini crawled its way down to the floor and then back up to its' trainer's lap. The tiny pokemon made a low squealing noise, as it curled up. "I'll be waiting" he said, keeping his cool.

"Oh!" The girl said, watching the pokédollars "This was unexpected!"
Putting up a childish smile, the girl trotted away "See you later, kind boy!"
Giggling like someone that won an incredible prize, the gym leader disappeared in an alley, leaving Dennis Alone.

A minute after, a woman wearing a black dress, with long black hair approached Dennis. She had fiery red eyes behind a pair of glassess.
"Well well" she said "Another trainer looking for a badge" she glancet Dennis's Dratini and commented "What a nice little dragon you got there. Are you training it properly?"

Dennis lifted his chin to look at the woman. He made a short grunt meaning yes, and looked back down at the floor. His legs began to hurt, though didn't quite quit on him. He stroked his dratini a bit, left wards, following the coils. "Is there anything you want ma'am?" he asked, feeling a bit redundant, having a slight tiredness in his tone.

"Actually yes" She aswered, with a strange smile on her face.
"I'm a pokémon researcher and I'm interested in gathering combat data from pokémon. I bet you're here, waiting the little spoiled gym leader for a battle and your medal."
The scientist glanced briefly behind herself "I bet she annoyed you like she does with every challenger of her gym. Actually, that's part of the challenge. But that's not what I want to talk with you. I really like your dragon, an it looks like a pokémon with a high potential. Can you please allow me to watch your battle against the Gym Leader?"

Dennis shrugged, and before he could say the next word, he dropped on his butt onto the pavement. "I don't see why not" he grunted. Dratini climbed up Dennis's neck. "Of course I have other pokemon too. Ivan here" he presents hratini "is just the first one I wasgiven- a gift for my tenth birthday." He had a bit of pride and angst in his words.

He had a long wait, and after a while, became bored out of his mind. Dennis had wandered off somewhere, a breeder's tent. There, he looked at what was available, and saw what he liked, a grass type pokemon- Treecko. Now, it didn't have a very low price, but it was nothing outside of Dennis's affordability, after all, he's been through countless battles, and heir go, a lot of prize money.

Not long after, Dennis found his way back to the gym with a new pokemon in his party. To himself he murmured "what's taking so long?"

Out of nowhere the pokémon researcher got wrapped in vines and, what seemed to get electracuted. It was a Leech Seed attack. The researcher fell to the ground, frozen. As she fell down you could see Venus standing behind here with her Roselia. Venus was eating her Bananasplit, asif nothing was happing. The small Roselia grabbed some vines that were wrapped around the researcher and dragged her along the hall way, taking her somewhere.

"I really need better security here..." Venus said taking another bite of her ice cream. She saw something in the corner of her eyes as she saw how Roselia pulled the woman away. "Oh right, your still here. Yeah...she wasn't really a researcher, she steals pokemon around here." Venus said, taking another bite of her ice cream. She looked at Dennis, appearantly waiting for something.

He stands up straight, re-aligning his body. Dennis stretches upward as though he were trying to catch a pidgey. "Took ya long enough" he says with a yawn "alright. Should we step into the gym, or do you wanna do it right out here?" His dratini coils up in a ball like a snake in a basket. He looks at the supposedly gym leader, than to his pokemon, wiping his face.

"Well excuse me princess." She said in reply when Dennis said that it took her long enough.

"We might aswell do it here. I mean, win or loose is always the same, doesn't matter where, Duh." She said snobby while taking another bite of her Ice Cream.

She picked up her PokeBall and throwed it in the air and her trusty Venipede came out.

Dennis put his head down and chuckled, leaving the grin on his face. "Let's get over with it than" he proclaimed, now looking at the girl "Ivan, since you're already out, why don't you go first?" The dragon pokemon advanced to the foot of what is now the fray. Dramatically, Dennis flexed his left arm outward, opening his palm. "Thunderwave!" He exclaimed. As his first gym battle commences, Dennis can't help but feel some form of excitement. Finally, he is a trainer.

"A Thunder Wave, how predictable for a beginning Dratini." She said with a smirk. "Use your Poison Sting attack, sweety!" She commanded. The pokemon did as commanded.

His opend his small mouth and glowing stings of poison were shot out of his mouth towards the thunder wave. The stings hit the wave making holes into the attack making it slowly fade away. Sadly enough the stingers faded aswell. A small shock, about the size of a finger went past the stingers ans hit the Venipede. But it didnt do more then just making him twitch. "Did you really think it would be that easy to land a hit?" she said while taking a bite of her ice cream again.

The tiny insect pokemon was able to retaliate using its poison sting attack. It worked rather well- exactly what you'd expect from a gym leader. In the end, they managed to land a single spark. Dennis grunted, raising an eyebrow to the attack. "I guess I'll be leading then." Specks of dust and leaves orbit around a circumference right in front of the dragon pokemon. "Twister" the trainer commanded. It appeared a miniature storm, blowing towards venipede.

She had another smirk on her face again. "Veni, Rollout." The Venipede curled up into a ball and rolled straight towards the twister attack. Venipide got sucked up anx you could see him spinning around in the twister getting higher to the end of the Twister. The Venipide was then shot out as it reached the top, straight towards Ivan at great speed.
