| First generation had a few TMs which tought pokemon a handful of moves which can not be learned now, say electivire learning teleport. The TMs from first generation that were removed from the next are now referred to as AMs, which are basically floppy disks. These AMs can teach pokemon moves they could only learn in 1st generation. | |

| I don't understand. :|
How would you know whether or not the "AM"s would be compatible with any given pokèmon? Or even a 2nd generation pokèmon+ ? I are confuzzled. And what? They literally have the same function as TMs, but they teach pokèmon moves they supposedly aren't supposed to learn? Explain plox. QQ

| Even if I understand the idea behind this proposal, Shiz already mentioned the problems that would arise if this idea is used.
All pokémon not from first generation lack an "AM" learnset, and making an AM table for more than 400 pokémon is kinda harsh, long and tedious work to do, for rather little gain.
