Claire wrapped her arms around her sides as she walked along the beach. Her eyes were focused on the ground directly in front of her feet and her hair seemed to cast a deep shadow over her face, hiding her violet colored eyes. It had been three days since she had arrived here, and she still hated it just as much as as the first day. How could her father bring her here? She sighed. At least this was an excuse to start training Damien, her Shuppet.

Damien was floating by her shoulder, looking out at the ocean as the sun began to set over it. The setting sun created a beautiful array of colors and sparkles on the sky and ocean. It was much more beautiful than Johto. The way the colors seemed to blend perfectly with each other and the way the light bouncing off the ocean seemed to highlight the clouds. It was really nice.

With a soft sigh, Claire stopped walking and slowly looked up. Maybe she could find a Pokemon to battle. They say that a trainers first battle was something that they never forgot. Sort of like a first kiss. Still, Claire was very nervous about it. She really didn't want Damien getting hurt. Especially on their first battle.

It truly was a beautiful day today on Amtheius beach as the sun was beating upon the ocean making it sparkle. Pokemon where all over the place, mainly only water but still you have to admit the few was worth watching. I mean who wouldn't? It was one of those pictures that is worth a thousand words....or was it paintings. Anyways as you walked the sands of the beach you noticed a tiny budew playing in the sand by its lonesome what would you do?

Claire smiled out at the many breeds of Pokemon the jumped and splashed in the water, which caused mini rainbows to appear for a split second. This is one of the many reasons Claire wanted to be a trainer - to see stuff like this.

After pulling out a hand full of Rare Candies, Claire looked up at Damien and smiled. "I bought these. They'll level you up that way we can make sure you don't lose." Just as she finished the statement, Damien swooped down and gobbled the five rare candies up with a satisfied smile on his face as he licked his ghostly lips.

(Damien grew to level 10 and learned Night Shade)

Claire chuckled as she looked up at Damien's content expression, but something caught the corner of her eyes. She turned her head to see a baby grass type Pokemon sitting all alone. This made Claire frown, and after mumbling "come on" to Damien, she walked up to the Budew and knelt down so that she was closer to eye level with it. Of course, she did keep a distance, just incase the Pokemon attacked.

"Why are you all alone, Budew?" Claire tilted her head while Damien simply floated above her head and looked down at the baby with a blank expression.

The budew looked up at you. From a far it looked happy but up close you could see it was extremely sad. It was breaking down emotionally and cried even louder when you came near it. it jumped in your arms crying as if something was wrong, well from the looks of it something was wrong. The budew cried to you, "Bud, Bud Bud Bud, budew, Bud BUD BUD BUDEW!!!!!" it was telling you something but what could it have been saying? I mean do you speak pokemon? it was obvious that this was a situation worth dealing with, Are you going to help out the pokemon?

Claire blinked as she held onto the crying Pokemon. The Budew cried out and shouted as it tried to explain what was wrong. If only Claire could understand the poor thing. "B-Budew... I can't understand what you're saying... Is there any way you can show me what happened? I really want to help you out."

Damien blinked a few times and swooped down so that he was eye level with the grass type. He narrowed his eyes and puffed out his cheeks. It was obvious he was extremely jealous of this crybaby. But, when Claire narrowed her eyes at him, he sighed and looked the other way. If he had arms he so would've crossed them.

Claire looked back at the Budew and frowned. She felt helpless right now. She felt so bad for this Pokemon and really wanted to help it out, but it seemed that was going to be easier said than done.

Budew jumped out of your arms and began to reenact what it had gone through. It tossed its head around, jumped up and down, even shouted budew a few times as it was trying to let you understand where it was coming from. i guess this is the best way it could get its point across as it continued. But in mid sentence it was cut off by a menacing corphish that bashed it in the head with its claw. The corphish ran at the tumbling budew as it did the same thing over and over again. it truly had it out with this poor pokemon, it was beating the living daylights out of the thing, what are you going to do?

Claire stared down at the Budew in confusion once more. The poor thing was jumping around and crying out, doing everything in its power to get it's point across, but Claire just couldn't quite get what it was saying. She was just about to tell the Budew it wasn't working when a Corphish came from no where and started slamming it's claw into the Budew's head.

"H-Hey!" Claire yelled at the Corphish. Claire looked up at Damien. "Use Night Shade to get the Corphish to stop."

Damien nodded then swooped down in front of the Corphish as his eyes began to glow a deep crimson red. As Damien cried out loudly, he shot out a red and black beam at the Corphish, which would hopefully hit the Corphish and get it to stop beating on the Budew.

Damien panicked and simply closed his eyes as he waited for the attack to bombard him. Claire, on the other hand, attacked. She knew the bubbles were probably going to hit her anyways, but Budew had taken enough damage. She ran up to Budew, scooped it into her arms and turned her back on the Corphish just before the attack would've hit Budew. Claire winced and cringed as the bubbles slammed into her back, sending little stings of pain all through out her back.

After the attack had finished, Claire opened an eye to look at Budew. "You okay?" She didn't wait for Budew to answer before looking up at Damien. "Try to scare them off with a Screech attack. There's no way you can take on both of them."

Damien didn't like the idea of scaring them off, but nodded then swooped down in front of them and let out an ear piercing screech at the Corphish. Hopefully it would be enough to make the Pokemon back off, if not Damien was in for a strong counter attack.

As you scooped up the budew and it had witnessed what you have done just to protect it from the menacing duo of those Terrible Corphish, it felt nothing but gratitude from you. You went all of the way just to save it from disaster. Your heart was far bigger than it had thought. it was then when you had ordered Damien, your Shuppet, to use screech on the pokemon corphish. Perhaps one of them would get startled and run away after having their defense lowered.

Well that is exactly what happened. The smallest corphish got a little frightened and started to run away, but that was when this green stream of energy begain to consume the corphish draining the corphish dry of all its stamina. Where was this energy coming from? As you looked back in your arms you would see that Budew wasn't there anymore in fact he was standing distance away from the two corphish after taking on down with its Mega drain. it finished its attack defeating one corphish as the other looked at it angrily.

It looked at yourshuppet and fired another frenzy of bubbles at it, sense the first bubblebeam would have most likely lowered the speed of your shuppet it was highly unlikely for it to dodge this attack, but miracles are soemthing that can happen even in the worst of times. After draing the Corphish dry, Budew was all fired up to go. It was now just waiting for you to get it orders. "Bud, bud, Budew!!!" it yelled telling you it was ready to take down the last Corphish, maybe you should take your pokedex out and see what moves it has.

Claire looked over to see one Corphish running away like a scared baby. Then a green beam of pure energy came from no where and drained the Pokemon dry. Claire tilted her head in confusion then looked back at her arms. Budew was gone. She panicked for a minute then she saw the little Pokemon standing a few feet away, glaring at the remaining Corphish. Apparently, Claire's act of saving the Pokemon gave it some sort of renewed determination and now it wanted to fight.

Claire nodded a bit then stood up and faced the remaining Corphish as it blasted a ray of bubbles at Damien. Damien winced and cried out as the bubbles pushed him back a few feet, but he shook it off and slowly floated over beside Budew and glared at Corphish, though he was panting somewhat heavily now.

After checking her pokedex to see what moves Budew knew, Claire nodded and called out: "Budew, I want you to use Stun Spore, and Damien use Knock-Off!" The timid little girl who was walking the beach seemed to have disappeared. Now, there was a strong confident trainer who believed in her Pokemon.

Damien nodded then moved as fast as he could towards Corphish. Hopefully, he would ram into the Pokemon and do a little bit more damage than Night Shade would. Also, he really hoped that Budew's Stun Spore didn't hit him either...

The Corphish looked at the pokemon as it appeared to be out numbered. The unexpected attack did seem to through it off guard after it used bubblebeam which gave you the perfect opportunity to attack which you did. Budew used Stun spore with the colliding affect of Knock-off, the Corphish got hit by the spore before your Shuppet really did anything to it. The corphish was hit and couldn't move, but thats when Knock-off was used knocking the corphish down on the ground. A few more hits should get it.

"Great job, both of you!" Claire grinned. She couldn't believe how exciting a Pokemon battle was. She was glad that she decided to become a Pokemon trainer. "Budew," Claire smiled down at the green Pokemon. "I think your Mega Drain should take it out. But, just to be safe, Damien, use a Knock-Off."

Damien nodded then flew towards Corphish once more. A confident grin spread across his face just before he rammed his body against Corphish, knocking him back to the ground once more.

"Great," Claire praised. "Now, finish it off, Budew, with Mega Drain!"

The budew had so many memories buzzing through its head. It took a stance and let out a mighty roar (lol), he then let the green aura of energy emit from him hover over to the begotten corphish and have it consume him in the process. The energy from the corphish was beeing drained. The corphish was finally gone and it seems like this budew still isn't finished tellign you what it has to. "Bud, Bud, BUDEW" It said, this time it drew pictures on the ground explaining to you that those two corphish attacked its friend and the friend told budew to leave and runaway, but budew doesn't know if the friend is okay or not. What will you do?

Claire giggled to herself as she watched the Corphis faint. This was a piece of cake! Why was she afraid of battling before? She blinked and looked down at the Budew as it started to rant and draw pictures in the sand. Apparently, the Budew's friend was in some sort of danger. The answer was obvious. "Let's go find your friend, okay, Budew?" Claire smiled confidently down at the little Pokemon.

Damien stuck out his tongue at the fainted Corphish then hovered over by Claire's shoulder just as she announced that were about to go look for this Budew's friend. Damien sighed. Knowing their luck, once they get to the Pokemon, there's gonna be a Crawdaunt, or something, guarding it.

It was then when you decided to follow the budew did you actually realize that it led you to a gaint sandy field. I mean it was impossible to see any source of water, but there was the occassional pit of water that seemed to have filled in some holes in the sand. "Bud, Budew!" budew pointed over in the not to distant area where there seemed to have been a boulder, on top of a Lapras' fin! That was the Budews friend that helped him from the Corphish but it seems it has gotten itself in trouble during the process. What are you going to do? The Budew had already ran to the boulder trying to knock it off.

Claire looked around at the sandy wasitland that Budew had led them to. She put on a thoughtful face as she tried to think why a Budew would be hanging around a place like this in the first place. Then her eyes moved to see a... a... Lapras! A freakin Lapras was beached on the sandy waist land with a boulder stuck on its fin. A few questions came to mind at that moment. How was a Lapras being bullied by Corphish? How did the massive Pokemon end up HERE? And would this Lapras like to take a look inside of one of Claire's pokeballs?

Claire ran up to the Lapras and looked it over. "Hm.. Don't worry we can get you out of this," she smiled hopefully at the Pokemon then put her hands on the boulder. She gave it a good shove. The rock hardly moved. A few more shoves gave Claire the same result. She sighed and took a step back. She glanced at the Lapras. "You have any ideas?"

Lapras looked as its friend tried to help with little to no luck at all it was then when it saw that its friend had brought a trainer to help that it felt very thankful. As you tried to help and budew alike there seemed to be nothing happening at all, so you gave up froa brief moment, when you asked lapras what could you do to help, lapras looked off into the distance and directed your eye to look where it was looking. It seems that there was water once here before but right not the beach is having a low tide moment meaning that the lapras probably couldn't get to the sea in time before the low tide. The boulder probably had been in the water and salmmed down on the pokemons fin when low tide had occured. Lapras wanted you to wait for the water to come back then help it, but until then...A devastating crawdaunt seemed to have been following you. It seems those corphish have friend in high places but wait...there is something about this crawdaunt that is familiar, but wut,? Anyways you had to defened the Lapras until low tide. So whatcha gonna do

Claire looked off into the distance to try and see what lapras was looking at. Then, way out in the distance she could see the shoreline. "Ah... It's low tide.." She mumbled mostly to herself. That explained how the boulder got on Lapras' fin and why she was beached like this. "Well, all we have to do is wait it out," she smiled hopefully at Lapras and gently placed a hand on Lapras' neck in a reassuring way.

Damien yawned and looked around boredly. But, he was surprised that there wasn't any sort of Pokemon guarding the Lapras or something. Sure would've made for more entertainment. He slowly turned around just in time to see an angry Crawdaunt scampering towards him. His eyes widened. That was ironic. He swooped over to Claire and shouted in her ear to gt her attention.

Claire winced and rubbed her ear as she glared at Damien "What the..." her voice trailed off as her eyes fell on the Crawdaunt. "Crap..." she looked up at Damien. "Use Screech to catch it off guard. We have to protect Lapras until high tide."

Damien nodded then fell down in front of Crawdaunt. He opened his mouth as wide as he could and belted out his loudest, most ear shattering Screech he could muster.

As you and the Lapras began to become friendly with one another it was clear that the relationship between you two would muster into something truly astonishing. You thought you were out of the woods, but apparently they are thicker than you have thought as you see a Crawdaunt headed your way. Damien was the first to notice and the first to warn as you told it to use screech, and boy did it use a screech, the attack did though the Crawdaunt off guard, but that was only for a split second before it used knock off slamming your ghost pokemon into the ground. It was then when it looked at you and the lapras as well as budew and fired a astonishing array of Bubbles at you. it used bubblebeam.

Damien was sent straight to the ground by the super-effective Knock Off move. Claire was dumbstruck as to what to do, so she did the first thing that came to mind. She stepped in front of the Lapras and extended her arms, making sure that she took all of the Bubblebeam and none of the bubbles hit the beached Pokemon. She winced and bit her lip as the painful bubbles slammed against her, but once the attack was over she managed a "Knock-Off"

Damien slowly pulled himself from the sand and moved up to the Crawdaunt and preapred to slam into it

The Knock off seemed to be effective but not to effective well at least you managed to knock off a shiny stone from the crawdaunt I mean atleast somethign came in handy. Anyways the pokemon didn't seem to be giving up and neither should you, it is then when the pokemon Used bubble beam again when is then when you begin to worry as the bubbles clank out of its claws like a gun. This Crawdaunt is familiar. it is that same corphish your and Shuppet and Budew had teamed up together to beat. it came back for revenge but it looks like that would be cut short because it was then when a water pulse pulsated from nowhere and intercepted the bubble beam while also hitting the crawdaunt where it hurt, that was then followed up by a green aura energy that then consumed the crawdaunt where it stood.

Claire managed a smile when she saw Damien's attack go off without a hitch, and he even managed to knock off a Shiny stone. It really was Claire's lucky day. Then Crawdaunt started another BubbleBeam attack. That's when she made the connection. This was the Corphosh from earlier. Apparently, it managed to evolve in the short time it took for her to find the Lapras. She winced in anticipation of the Bubblebeam, but she stood her ground. Then a Water Pulse came from nowhere and deflected the Bubblebeam. Claire turned to look at Lapras. Surely it was her doing. Then she heard the sounds of Crawdaunt crying out and saw that Budew was using Mega Drain once again.

Claire couldn't help but feel so happy that these wild Pokemon were helping her out. Even though she was a trainer, these Wild Pokemon were helping her. She smiled and mumbled a Thank You to both of the Pokemon.

Meanwhile, Damien wasn't too keen on just floating around. He swooped down and scooped up the Shiny stone and set it down by Claire's feet. Claire looked at him and said: "Use Night Shade," she nodded reassuringly. Damien agreed. They needed to get this battle over with. He was starting to feel drained for all of this battling. His eyes began to glow a bright red and then he shot out a beam at his opponent.

It was then when the fusions of attacks from all of the pokemon sent the crawdaunt flying in the air, it performed the annual, "Looks like Team rocket is Blasting off again" phrase and just like that it was gone, but something was telling me you wouldn't be seeing the last of it,(just as long as I keep modding you that is). High tide came crashing in as it swept you, budew and shuppet away. The boulder on lapras's fin seemed to have given way giving lapras the chance to save you. it zoomed toward you and scooped you up with its head as it began to swim back to shore. it smiled at you thanking you for helping it, The sun was setting on you guys.

Claire almost giggled as the Crawdaunt shot off into the sky and disappeared as a tiny flash in the sky. "All of you were amazing," she looked at Damien, then Budew, and finally Lapras. Then her eyes widened as she saw the water come crashing towards her. She attempted to run away, but she was sucked up by the water. She threw her head from the water and gasped, only to be picked up by Lapras. Claire smiled down at the Pokemon and patted her nose in a friendly way. "Thank you Lapras. Again," she giggled then slipped off of her head and stood on the beach, looking up at the Pokemon.

Damien, who was lucky enough to have the ability to float, had no troubles with the water at all. He simply hovered above it and swooped back over to Claire. He grinned at Lapras and Budew.

Claire shook the water from her hair then looked up at Lapras. "Hey... You were super amazing and.. uh.. I was wondering.." she reached into her pocket, her fingers moving around an empty pokeball. "Would you maybe want to travel with me? We could see the world together and get stronger.. I promise to come here so you can visit all your friends," she looked over at Budew. "The same offer stands for you too, Budew." She cleared her throat. "Of course, you guys can say no if you want..."
