Dennis kneeled down onto the hot sands of the beach. His dratini lay next to him, but of course, as it hasn't any appendages other than its' neck and body, what else could it do? They were staring at the sunset, and Dennis's family owned store wasn't far. This is the first day of his journey, and yet, rather than being at least excited, Dennis simply stares out. He laid himself down on the sand, burying his toes in it.
He rolled over, and noticed a strange bump from under him. Quickly, Dennis dug up sand, and uncovered, what appears to be a pokemon egg. He didn't think much, even still. Simply, he cradled it, thinking it was buried for incubation. Ivan, his dratini looked at him, and held its head to the side. "Don't worry. I am a trainer after all," Dennis smiled "so Ivan; What should we name it?" He knew that it couldn't speak, but it was a rhetorical question nevertheless.

Dennis decided to ignore the festival, and stay at the beach, moving up shore to avoid the tide. He held the egg in his hands, and then decided to let dratini go for a short surf or swim. It couldn't hurt could it? He thought.
It was getting pretty late, and probably a good idea for Dennis and his pokemon to take shelter."Ivan, return" the pokemon went back into its ball. It would also be a good idea to go get something to keep the egg in. So, Dennis walked back towards the city.
The morning after, he decided to enter his home, say goodbye, and this time leave for good. "Go Ivan!" he climbed onto his dratini's back, and left to Isido town, where hopefully, he'd find some trainers. (Sorry to go so soon)
