| Another great day to do some training. I had my fishing rod ready, to catch to water types for my pokemon to battle. I looked at my pokeballs. At the moment I didn't need to train my Minccino, she was far ahead. My Snivy, Phanpy, Corphish, and Pichu however could go with a little work. Then I remembered. In the bottom of my fishing bag was a good luck charm my father bestowed upon me for the times I went fishing. He was a champion fisherman. Although fishing wasn't his occupation, it was his passion. He entered countless competitions, storming them all. He put it all down to the Soothe Bell he kept for luck. He had purchased it from a stall, in the a different region, although Incould never recall the places name, a woman wearing a white veil sold him a Soothe Bell, claiming it was blessed by Jirachi, a legendary pokemon that granted people wishes and granted people luck beyond anyone's wildest dreams. And it just so happened that my father had one of these sacred artefacts. It also had another power. His pokemon, a red eyed Basculin, usually a violent, raging water type pokemon, but instead the Soothe Bell calmed the fish, and made it the most docile and happy pokemon I'd ever met. So I figured that some pokemon evolve with friendship. And this bell had the power to enhance a pokemon and a trainers bond, it would automatically evolve any pokemon that evolved with friendship, or a pokemon that evolved with friendship and a level up. Tao, my Pichu was one of these pokemon. Just thinking about having my own Pikachu made my legs feel all tingly. I'd decided, Pichu was the pokemon I was training, and hopefully evolving today. .~. "Kay Tao! Come on out!" I yelled as I tossed my electric type pokemon's pokeball through the air like a shuriken star. He landed on one foot, gracefully, on the edge of the beautiful, serene view of the lake. "Chupi, pichu!" He chuckled, as his pink cheeks jolted with sparks happily. "Hey Tao, do I have a treat for you!" I told him, as I grabbed the treasure from my fishing rucksack. "Piii!" he giggled hyperactively, due to the excitement flowing through him. He was always getting overexcited, he had a very electric personality. See what I did there? Aha. No? Suit yourself. There was that one time when we went to a trainer's convention, and when Pichu saw all the colors and the pokemon, he just let out a giant scream and a Thundershock which blasted the whole of the conventions participants. Yeah, I won't be going back there again any time soon. Well anyway back to the present day... .~. "Here Tao. A Soothe Bell! Just for you." I said enthusiastically. He stared blankly at the jingling bell, enchanted by the harmonious sound. "Chu!"he laughed in approval, as I tied the bell around his wrist with a ruby red, silk ribbon, and was careful not to tie it too tightly, so that it wasn't uncomfortable. "Now then, lets catch some fish shall we Tao?" Tao nodded and made a squeaking noise. .~. I attached a green pokeblock to the end of the sharp hook on my baby blue fishing rod, to use as bait. Tao sat and ate some of the pokeblock's in my bait box, but that was okay, we hadn't ate for quite a while after all. I cast the line out swiftly, in the centre of the lake, and waited for a bite. I look at Tao. He was shaking his hand crazily, listening to the sound of the jingling. "Pi, Pi!" he chuckled as he heard the light noises. I laughed and then felt a tug at my rod, and there was a looming shadow in the water. "Chupi!" Tao yelled, as he jumped onto his feet, awaiting the shock of what pokemon this was. I reeled desperately, when I saw a fish-like pokemon leap out of the water. "Gold!" It yelled, and I could now identify it. A graceful Goldeen. It landed at the side, and began to flail it's tailfins back and forth. Tail Whip. Easy. My Pichu being a Tail Whip user itself was not too weak to it, so it was still as strong as ever. The Goldeen looked astounded, Pichu didn't even flinch. "Tao! Thundershock!" I shouted, as my Pichu shot mighty zaps from it's rose colored cheeks. The Goldeen panicked, as it tried to flop back into the water the lightning shocked it. It fainted and flopped almost animatedly, into the lake. "Pii?" Pichu stared at himself in the lake, he was glowing, a bright blue light. "Whoa!" I said, as Pichu went through an amazing metamorphisis. As the blue light faded away, Pichu was now a new being. "Pika?" he stared at his now long, thunder shaped tail, and was amazed. He even did a little dance. "Wow! You evolved!" I said, shocked. .~. And that proved how good friends Tao and I were, and we would continue to be. Forever. .~. Pokemon focused on: Tao (Pichu/Pikachu) Word count:848 Levels gained: 1 | |
