Walking down the grassy plain of the relentless Killin Lake, Alex and his pokemon partners, Silver and Sapphire bean there journey looking for a new companion and hopefully a new training partner. Alex sat down and dressed himself in the proper attire for going into a lake full of pokemon. He had on nothing but swim trunks that had prints of Mantine's and Mantyke's on them. He looked at Sapphire who really didn't want to go in the water, neither did Silver. He put them in their pokeballs as the search for his slowpoke began. "Okay here we go," He began to say as he jumped in the water, cringing at the cold chill that had soon almost overcame him. He "theoretically" took a deep breathe, not hypothetically or literally speaking, and he searched the vast waters for that one pokemon that would bring his team one step closer to success.

You see some deerling aroung the lake as they drink.when you look up you spotted a few seagulls flying over head.when you look at the lake surface you can see some lotads leaf on the surface and every once in a while you see some red lights in the water but cant see what they are since there under water.but you cant see what your lookig for.

Waiting to encounter the pokemon he had thought he'd seen, he continued to swim in the water. Air bubbles emitted from his nose and his mouth as he began to swim deeper. The water was cold, but his body began to adapt to the temperature. Blue over-lapped the fluorescent outlook upon the lake as many pokemon passed by Alex. None of them caught his eye as he was looking for one pokemon and one pokemon only. Thats when he first thought he saw it. It swam closer to the pokemon, he thought it was pink but maybe it wasn't...what was this pokemon he was about to encounter?

Your assumption was mistaken, as the pokemon that emerges is only a common Shellder... maybe next time. The Shellder flailed it's long tongue around, which was pink, maybe the 'figure' you saw in the murky water was infact that. However this Shellder did have an edgy look in it's wild eyes, maybe it was powerful? Either way, you were going to have to battle this wide eyed clam. What was your choice?

Lets see...Alex thought in his head as he vigorously began to swim to the top of the water. He looked down at the shellder as he nearly made it to the top of the surface of killin lake. He reached for a pokeball on his shorts lace and threw it in the air. Sapphire came out and landed on the grassy part of the lake. "Sapphire I need your help," Alex began to say as solosis tried to pierce its eyes through the water to see what the commotion is all about. It then saw a glimpse of Shellder. It then knew that a battle would be starting soon.

"Derrrrrr....." moaned the Shellder. It saw the Solosis levitating, knowing that it would be hard to get it's attacks to reach into the air.
Instead of a direct attack, Shellder opted for a Rain Dance, to power up it's water type moves (if it had any). The droplets plummeted from the sky, hitting both Shellder and Solosis, and although Solosis wasn't particularly damaged by this, it would make the battle much harder.

The Solosis began to quickly look at Alex then the shellder and started to recite some words to Alex telling him what she would want to do. "Sol, Sol, Solosis" Sol began to say as it levitated a tad higher. Alex nodded at the pokemon's request and then smiled as he stood up from out the water, as quickly as he could. He jumped back and pointed at the shellder beneath the blue liquid. "Sapphire!" He began as Solosis was charging energy, "Use Psywave!" The pokemon did as told and fired a psychic wave of energy at the shellder below the water, hopefully the attack would hit.

"Shelelelelelelelellll!" screamed the Shellder as the attack hit. It was so confident that it's Rain Dance strategy would put the floating psychic type off. Shellder leaped out of the water, it struggled, but jumped high enough to strike your Solosis with a mid-air Tackle. It then dived elegantly back into the water, which acted as it's watery shield. Shellder flipped it's tongue over it's head as it did this, just like a gymnast! What would your next move be?

"Hmph..." Alex began as he saw the shellder's full strategy. "So you like to attack then retreat...boy wouldn't you be screwed if there was no water around here," Alex continued as he smirked a bit before looking at Solosis, "Okay Saph, lets counter-act this pokemon with an attack and defense tactic,alright" Solosis cheered and smiled as it looked at alex waiting for the next set of orders. "Okay Saph, use another psywave and wait for the pokemon to come out the water again...just wait" Alex began as saph used psywave yet again.

Shellder was protected by the lake that it was bathing in, and it smiled in confidence. It jumped back out of the water ready to attack with Tackle again, in the same gymnast fashion, it glided through the air, resembling a frisbee, even though it was a clam! It's tongue was shaking like an overexcited Lillipup. It tried to leap, then fell onto the ground. It rushed towards the lake...

"Exactly what I had anticipated," Alex smiled as Solosis knew exactly what the Que was when the time was right. She used psywave on the stranded shellder basically hitting it. Shellder's aren't that fast on land as they are in water so at the moment the person who had the upper hand was Alex. He swiftly thought ahead the game and told his Solosis to use one more psywave on the shellder, hopefully the attack would hit, but only time would tell whether it will or will not. Lets just see if that time, however, is on my side...

The attack struck Shellder on it's solid shell, that was now weak and crushed. "Shell...." spoke the Shellder as it fainted.

Sapphire (Solosis) levelled up! Level 6!

After you defeat the Shellder and it drifts back away to the lake, you see another shape in the water, the colour wasn't clear, but it wasn't the regular sort of silhouette you saw in these waters... A blue-eyed Basculin surfaces from the lake, "Bas!" it said, as the pokemon, which appeared docile smiled.

Alex stared at the basculin and in his head he was literally like, What the hell is this he stared at it for moments longer, and left it where it was, he had no time for that pokemon as he was looking for another one. Slowpoke is the only pokemon he needed and wanted. He would not rest until that pokemon was in his arsenal. Now lets just see how long it takes for him to actually catch such a pokemon.

The Basculin's smile drooped, he probably thought he might be able to charm you round with his bright blue eyes, then attack. It dived under anticipating the pokemon that you would send out. It's shadow wobbled in the water and it was hard to tell whether it had fled or stayed in the battle, but you had better send out a pokemon just incase. - "RAWWWWRRR!" :P

"I really don't have time for this," Are the words Alex spoke before he setup camp and let two of his only pokemon out. He thought it was time to rest as they all sort of needed it. He looked at the water knowing that, that Basculin would still be there. He was flattered that the pokemon wanted to battle him but he wanted to save his energy for when he got a slowpoke. SO what he did was converse with his pokemon, eat with his pokemon, and then....they all slept till the next day. Simple and clean as that.

While you were eating you got a friendly tap on the shoulder, and it looked like a pokemon's tail! "Slowpoke" smiled the pokemon. This pokemon looked confused, probably because the camp you set up was a new sight to it. It was the exact one you were looking for. "Sloooooow." yawned he Slowpoke, as it cutely fell asleep right before your eyes. After all that searching one comes and sleeps right next to you! What will you do?

As Alex began to put himself to bed he saw the wondering slowpoke coming toward him. Its action almost put Alex at a slight unease. Even though slowpoke were considered really lazy pokemon, there always is a first for everything. Taking a very friendly direct approach, alex made the atmosphere calm when he had offered the slowpoke some food. He did want to catch it but he wanted it to get use to him for a brief moment. He slowly pulled out a pokeball and showed it to the pokemon hoping it knew what he wanted.

Slowpoke stared, without any personality in it's large eyes. Then...
"Sloooooooww!" roared Slowpoke angrily. This Slowpoke either had a very short temper, or your pokemon food wasn't too tasty! Slowpoke stood, steady as a boulder, ready to battle for your right to catch it. It waited for you to select a pokemon, then it would strike.

While looking at the possible outcomes this match could and might as well would have,Alex looked at what pokemon he had on his person...He had just two. Mienfoo-Silver and Solosis-Sapphire. He would now make sure to choose wisely. "Okay now lets see," He began to think, "Solosis is a Psychic type and will have no problem battling another psychic type, and then there is Mienfoo. He is faster than the pokemon, but still Psychic and fighting aren't to compatible," Deep in thought he finally figured out what he was going to do. He looked at Mienfoo who was sitting down in confusion of the situation, but when the two locked eyes Mienfoo knew what to do as it sprang into action. "Mien. Mienfoo!" it said as it kicked its foot in the air vigorously. "Mienfoo use meditate" Mienfoo began to use meditate as its energy and attack power increased. "Now use Pound" Mienfoo ran to the slowpoke about to strike it.

Slowpoke was hit by the Pound, but seemed rather unphased, as it stood still in the same place. A while after, Slowpoke yelped in pain. It seemed it's reactions were not the peak of the pokemon world. The Slowpoke tackled your Mienfoo. Lucky for you and Silver, it seemed this particular Slowpoke was not experienced enough to wield Psychic attacks. It then re-took it's position and tough stance, ready for another one of Mienfoo's attacks.

"Mienfoo," Said Alex with such calm embrace in his voice, it was like the fight was changing him on the inside slowly. "Same tactic," Mienfoo performed Meditate and its attack power increased again. "Now Mienfoo pound slowpoke," by now mienfoo's pound should do some more damage sense its power was yet again increased. Mienfoo ran to the slowpoke with some good speed as it raised its fist in the air and brought it down upon the pokemon with brute force. Alex waited for the outcome of the attack as he watched Mienfoo attacking slowpoke.

The Slowpoke flew back in pain, and banged it's head on a sturdy tree trunk. "Sloooooooow." weeped the shocked Slowpoke, who couldn't walk in a straight line, due to the disorientation. Was this the chance you were looking for? It layed on it's back, flailing it's pink legs in a circular motion. It's tail pushed it back up onto it's four legs, but it was still as dizzy as a Spinda! What now?

Alex was not pleased with the outcome of how the battle was coming. He decided to not let the Slowpoke look like a fool when he caught it so he took the initiative and told his mienfoo to do the same thign one more time. This time the attack would definitely K.O. the slowpoke. "Okay Mienfoo finish this" Alex said as mienfoo performed meditate then another pound nearly penetrating slowpoke where he stood. Was the match over now?

The Slowpoke was hit by the massive force! It hadn't fainted but it just layed on the ground, breathing slowly. The Slowpoke was shocked at how much of a 'slowpoke' it was compared to your Mienfoo. While it was shrieking on the floor, it closed it's eyes, and began to snooze. How freaky! One minute it's almost dying with pain, then it drifts of like a Drifloon staright to sleep! It seemed it already looked like a total idiot. So what now?

This time it was it. Alex finally knew that the time had come for him to finally catch the pokemon. His Mienfoo slowly retreated as he took a pokeball from his waist belt. Staring at the mechanism as it glimmered in the sunlight was a truly a scene to behold as Alex threw the ball. It was all silent...then..."Lets see if I captured it," Alex said breaking the silence only to see the ball hit the slowpoke and capture it inside with a red light.
