...And there we have it, a journey made for a true trainer is finally underway, as Alexander, a trainer in the making, began his journey in the world of pokemon. His Mom and Dad packed up all of the essentials for him on his journey. Giving them the last of his goodbye's him and his pokemon, Mienfoo, set out on a new world they were about to enter. "I just know today is going to be awesome for the both of us. Would you agree, Lealtad?", Mienfoo nodded as they it sat on alex's head enjoying the ride before a pokemon would appear, which would make the two initiate in their first battle of the year.

As you begin to walk out of the village you see many familiar faces, some of them friends and some of them concerned adults, who are wishing you a safe journey. On the road out of the village, dead in the centre, was the villages oldest member, Mr. Farumaya.

"Well look at you!" he said to Alex, "All ready for your adventure. How about a quick battle? It's been a long time since we had one,"

Mienfoo was having such a fun time on the top Alex's head, it made Alex have a fun time as well. Alex looked at all of the people wishing him well as he went on his journey. He saw that some of them were concerned and wished that he'd be safe, he promised them that they had nothing to worry about, I mean he was sixteen so what did they have to worry about.

It was then when he saw and all to familiar face, Mr. Faruyama. Such an old man, well to Alex he was old, but aside from that Alex had an irreplaceable grin on his face. He was going to great Mr. Faruyama but before he could, the man requested a short battle. Alex could help but say ," yes that would be awesome. I'm guessing it will be a one on one, right?" He said as Mienfoo jumped off his head in between Alex and Mr. Faruyama.

The old man reached into a pocket and released a rock/ground type pokemon.

Larvitar. A Pokémon that eats soil. Once it has eaten a large mountain, it goes to sleep so it can grow.

The old man stood beside his larvitar and smiled, "You may attack first," he said as he had many times before, in his youth and even in old age.

"I've learned from previous battles between trainers not to underestimate my opponent no matter what they bring to the table" Mienshoo did several flips in the air being over joyed. She smiled at Alex and was ready for him to give the order of the first attack, in which she was going to make sure that it would be an awesome move formula, for this was there first official match. "Now Mienfoo use Meditate" Mienfoo's body radiated with blue energy as its out lining lit up. "Good work, follow that up with a pound attack" Mienfoo hopped on its fit like a ninja as it ran toward lavitar about to pound it.

Unfortunately for you the old man had a trick up his sleeve, "Larv, use sandstorm then dodge," larvi nodded, inhaled deeply and then exhaled a lot of sand. It then dived to the left, around your pokemon, before returning to bite it on the butt.

"Underestimating opponents is the death of a battle," the old man agreed.

Alex actually didn't expect the sandstorm, but he did expect the bite. As the sandstorm brewed it was hard for Mienshoo to move, I admit, but at least Mienfoo was still faster than the pokemon it was attacking. Or so Alex could, preferably would assume. "Hurry and Dodge Mienfoo," Alex said as Mienfoo nearly almost struggled breaking free of its pound attack nearly avoiding the bite while being grazed by the fang of the Larvitar, "Are you okay," The female pokemon looked at Alex and gave him a thumbs up, "Alright," Alex began a little bit more compassion in his voice this time around, "Use meditate again," Mienfoo radiated blue again. "Now follow that up with a pound attack once more" Mienfoo this time looked Larvitar in the face trying not to underestimate it again.

The larvitar didn't pull the same trick twice. It hadn't ever before and it didn't intend to now. So it took the pound head on, it having little effect on his rocky exterior, and then countered by biting down hard on Meinfoo's arm. Or it atleast tried to.

Pleased to see that his mienfoo's pound actually did hit the pokemon alex knew that today was going to be a good day. Even though normally the pound would do little to no damage, the meditates extra attack boost changed that little to no damage, but unfortunately the Larvitar bit down on Mienfoo's arm hard. Mienfoo screamed a bit but managed to keep cool. "Mienfoo use pound on it multiple times till it released!" Alex yelled. Knowing that the dark type move was very noneffective on the fighting type pokemon he knew that Mienshoo was alright.

Mr. Faruyama smiled as Larvitar released the Mienfoo, the relentless pounding was becoming annoying. "Larvitar let's show them one of our nice little sandstorms." Larvitar smiled and nodded, suddenly a great wind picked up and carried sand across the field, a sandstorm whipped up and now covered the entire battle area. "Oh, did I forget to mention Larvitar's rare ability, sand veil?" Mr. Faruyama chuckled as it seemed that multiple Larvitar's were now in the sandstorm, increasing Larvitar's evasiveness. "Now hit it with a bite." The real Larvitar, who was behind Mienfoo lunged forward, jaws wide.

As Alex checked the sandstorm out, he then looked at Larvitar who, by ability, created multiple copies of itself. Sand veil was obnoxious as sandstorm was being more of a nuisance than the pokemon using the attack. As the sandstorm covered the field Mienfoo was a little startled, but maintained a cool quiet and relaxed attitude as it proceeded on in the intense small battle. "Mienfoo stay come, just hang in there and do not let your guard down," Easier said than done, is what was going on in mienfoo's mind as he looked at the Larvitar's clones and the sandstorm. This was their first battle, and by the looks of it, If Alex didn't pull through the victory would go to Mr. Furuyama and no one wanted that...I hope so. As Alex saw that larvitar was going to attack Mienfoo with another bite, out of instinct he told Mienfoo to jump. "mienfoo jump in the air quickly" Mienfoo jumped high but still the affects of the sandstorm brewed on.

Larvitar grunted as his attack missed and Mienfoo dodged, "Tar!" He said as the sandstorm blew harder and the rock type was once again swallowed up by his sandstorm. Copies of the pokemon danced in the sand as Mienfoo launched airborne, and that's when Larvitar made his move. Larvitar jumped into the air, towards Mienfoo with another bite attack aimed at the pokemon. It would be hard to maneuver in the air if Mienfoo retaliated, but it would be next to impossible to dodge or even attack for Mienfoo as well.

Mienfoo stared down at the Larvitar as it was going to bite it. Mienfoo looked at Alex, by what little she could see him by and was waiting for a command. Alex smiled as if he was waiting for this moment to happen. All though for most pokemon any trainer knew recovering from an evasive attack in the air was quite impossible, and performing an attack was impossible as well, but alex knew what he was doing, sort of. "Quick, Mienfoo use meditate" Mienfoo's body radiated as its power was increasing yet again. SO far its power had increased a whopping four levels which was pretty big, kinda. A side from that...," Mienfoo let the larvitar bite you," At first mienfoo was like, What the hell?! Why would I let this thing bite me? but she respected her Trainers authority an did as told. The Larvitar had bit mienfoo only doing minor damage because a dark type move affecting a fighting type monster wasn't entirely going to do that much damage, unless the move strictly says ONE HIT KO, which was highly likely. "Now Mienfoo hit it with pound again and again," Mienfoo did as told as it pound attack hit the larvitar, hopefully causing some damage.
